Both Raw and SDLive had great weeks this week. Raw’s show was built up as a big show because of how long the gap between Summerslam and No Mercy however it was not a super show like SDLive are doing next week in Sin City where there will be several title defences and a return of Vince McMahon. The idea of these shows are to keep fans entertained when there is a big gap between shows.

Raw started with a great match between Cena and Jordan which was meant to be a similar type match as Angle vs Cena years back. The two put on a fantastic match which in my opinion showed Jordan does have the potential to be main event level. Reigns and Cena then did another promo battle which resulted in Roman winning this time and it was clear that Reigns had improved on the mic from last week.

The Miz retained his title against Jeff Hardy in another fairly awesome match. It showed Jeff still can be top of the midcard however it was completely the right decision for Jeff to lose in my opinion as this will get The Miz even more heat and as of right now there is no need for Jeff to hold the Intercontinental title.

The main event was Braun vs Big Show in a steel cage which was good and the crowd seemed very into it. After Braun won the match he hit his finisher on Big Show through the cage in a moment wrestling fans will remember for a long while.

SDLive started with a segment between Owens and Shane where Owens made a comment about Shane’s kids would be better if he was dead. Shane went on to attack Owens and later on in the show Owens claimed he was going to sue Shane over the attack, which resulted in Daniel Bryan getting a call of Vince telling him that Shane was suspended indefinitely. This whole rivalry has been very entertaining so far and is expected to result in either a match at Hell In The Cell or Team Shane vs Team Owens at Survivor Series.

In the main event Shinsuke Nakamura beat Randy Orton which will mean he will face Jinder Mahal at Hell In The Cell, and the whole story behind this will be that the Singh Brothers won’t be able to save Jinder however from what I was told last week (by a very reliable source) Jinder will still win the match and will eventually lose the title to Cena at the Rumble.

It has been announced this week that Raw will be live on both Christmas and New Year this week for the first time ever. A lot of people aren’t happy about it but according to Dave Meltzer it is because WWE Officials think if they prerecord the show the entire show will leak early because of social media and they feel this is the best way of doing things.

Sexy Star has been stripped of the AAA Reina de Reinas title due to the incident between her and Rosemary at TripleMania where Sexy kept the armbar locked in even after the bell rung, injuring Rosemary in real life. It is a very common thing to hurt new wrestlers in Mexico though, not seriously hurt them but just hurt them enough to toughen them up a bit so Sexy doesn’t see how she is in the wrong in this situation, but after all the hate she got on social media AAA had no choice but to strip her of the title.

Anthem could be selling GFW after a horrible week and Anthem making hardly any money from GFW. Earlier this week Jeff Jarret who actually founded the company GFW which was the name that replaced TNA when he joined the company. It turns out the naming rights might not actually belong to Anthem yet which might mean GFW/Impact/TNA will have to be renamed again. IF these rumours are true and Anthem does want to sell the company there won’t be a lot of interest. WWE would be a huge favourite because they have wanted TNA’s tape library for a long time, but the reality is because of all the lawsuits GFW have against them and no way would WWE want to have to sort all of them out. WWE also are trying to improve profits by making cuts so this wouldn’t make any sense at all. Anthem have since announced that they are relocating GFW to Toronto and they have plans to start their own streaming network and renew their TV deal.

The 2017 PWG Battle of Los Angelis happened this past weekend and don’t worry I will not spoil any results here. According to Dave Meltzer who went to all three nights this was probably the best BOLA ever and all three nights were better than any night during the G1. The second night was main evented with a huge match between Penta El Zero, Flamita and Rey Fenix taking on The Elite (Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks).This match had a lot of hype going into it however the match wasn’t nearly has good as it could have been because not only had the ring ropes broken but the ring itself was broken! So if anybody is wondering where Matt’s broken gimmick has gone now you know.

JBL has announced this week that he is leaving his commentary role on SDLive and it has been announced Corey Graves will be taking over as well as keeping his role on Raw. Graves however will no longer be doing 205 Live and Main Event, which will now be done by Nigel McGuinness.

Sasha Banks talked about how she was very upset about how she isn’t told anything until it happens in WWE on the Sam Roberts podcast this week. She went on to say how losing the title so quickly every time has really hurt her, but the worst part is that this was recorded before Summerslam. She has since taken any reference of WWE out of her twitter bio. The last WWE Superstar who did this was Eva Marie who ended up leaving the company.

And finally this week Ric Flair is back! And he is on his way back to 100%! This is great news to hear and Ric has released a brand new T Shirt reading ‘I ain’t dead yet mother f***ers’. Damn the Nature Boy was a born survivor. Tweet me your favourite Ric Flair match @Wraslinrepublic. Wooo!
