Raw kicks off with a recap from last week. We are then introduced by Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton, and Samoa Joe.
In-Ring Segment: Randy Orton
Orton tells how he became WWE Champion 8 days ago. He says 8 days ago he became a 14-Time World Champion. He then says 8 days ago he proved that he is the best of the best. He says the best of the best doesn’t do him any justice, he says he proved 8 days ago that he is the best period. He says he is better than Edge, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, John Cena, and damn sure better than Drew McIntyre. He tells how people think Triple H protected him early in his career and management favored him and he was chosen. He says he is in the position he is in because he is the best. Orton says 8 days ago he showed the entire world he is no longer the “Legend Killer”, he is now simply a legend. Orton says with this title comes great responsibility but it also comes with a bullseye. He says he welcomes that and he dares anyone to come and take the title from him. He says he doesn’t care if that is Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns, or The Fiend himself, come and get it. Here comes Alexa Bliss.
Bliss gets in the ring and smiles. Orton circles her and looks around the arena. Orton then asks her “Where is he”? Bliss says he could be here. The music of The Fiend now hits. Orton looks around but he is nowhere to be found. The lights come back on and from behind McIntyre hits him with a Clymore Kick. McIntyre tells him he dares him to give his rematch, he tells Orton that until then he will make his life a living hell. Miz and Morrison now come to ringside. Miz goes to cash in his Money In The Bank Contract. The ref comes to the ring and the match is about to get underway. McIntyre comes in before the match can begin and takes out Miz and Morrison. He says no one is going to better Randy Orton for the title except for him.
My Opinion:
Orton was right in his words he is absolutely a legend and one of the best today. Even without the title, Orton was doing amazing and everything he was involved in was very entertaining. He certainly now has a big target on his back but even with the big threat of The Fiend it still feels like McIntyre is his biggest threat. McIntyre continues to do whatever he wants and it seems he will stop at nothing to get that title back. I think it’s a matter of time before he does get it back but he has to stay vigilant and keep the pressure on Orton. I’m glad though their rivalry is continuing because they’re a perfect match together.
Backstage Segment: The Miz & John Morrison
Charly stops Miz and Morrison. Miz tells her not now. He says the bell never rang so he didn’t officially cash in his Money In The Bank. he then gets mad at McIntyre for sticking his nose in their business. He says he was close to getting the title. He tells McIntyre that just because he lost his 9-year dream doesn’t mean he has to take things away from everyone. He tells McIntyre to face the fact that he lost. Morrison says they are the wrong guys to piss off. He then challenges Drew McIntyre to a 2 On 1 Handicap Match. Miz says that is if he has the stones to accept.
Match 1: Elias vs Jeff Hardy:
Guitar On A Pole Match
***Before the match, Elias talks about the Guitar On A Pole Match and says he questioned why they would take his guitar out of his hands when he is making hits. He says he realized he can make art in a different way when he grabs one of his beautiful Fender guitars and smashes it over Jeff Hardy’s head. He then starts to play his new song Amen. Jeff Hardy’s music then hits and cuts him off.
Hardy goes right for the guitar but Elias stops him. Now, Elias tries but Hardy prevents him. Elias takes control and lifts Hardy. He then throws him near the apron. Hardy goes outside and is able to pull Elias out to the floor with him. Hardy now gets in control running off the stairs into Elias sending him into the barricade. Hardy now goes for the guitar but out of nowhere, Elias throws a stool at Hardy knocking him down. Hardy is down as Raw goes to break.
As Raw returns, Elias gets back into the match hitting Hardy in the back. Hardy fights back and finally gets Elias off of him. Elias now back to his feet runs at Hardy and hits him with a big knee. He continues hitting Hardy with a series of strikes. He now uses the ropes to continue the punishment on Hardy. Hardy fights back but again Elias stops his momentum and this time hits him with a knee to the face. Elias now climbs and goes for the guitar but Hardy stops him. Hardy now hits Elias with a big right hand. Hardy comes back with a few more. Elias sends him off the ropes but now Hardy takes him down. He now hits an atomic drop, and a double leg drop. Hardy keeps the pressure on and hits an elbow. Hardy now starts to climb but Elias stops him and puts him on his shoulder. Hardy fights him off and hits the Twist Of Fate. Hardy now climbs again but Elias is back to his feet. Hardy fights him off and grabs the guitar. Hardy now flies off the top and hits Elias with the guitar. He covers and gets the 1 2 3. Hardy now smashes guitar on the pole.
Winner: Jeff Hardy
My Opinion:
This match wasn’t bad but obviously, there is only so much you can do in this kind of match. Hardy and Elias have been doing great against each other but I would like to see Elias get a victory over Hardy. Although the story is kind of strange I think this rivalry can really help Elias. I just hope they get more time to really dive deeper into this story. I’m excited to see where it goes next but if it continues on Elias is gonna have to get one over on Hardy.
Backstage Segment: Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke
Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke prepare for their Tag Team Title Match, next!
Match 2: Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler (c) vs Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose:
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match
***Before the match Lana makes her way to the ring to watch this match.
The match begins and Brooke does her best to get Jax down as she jumps on her back. Brooke does her best to wear her down and does. Rose tags in and works an octopus stretch. After the move is broken Rose makes a tag. Rose and Brooke work together to wear down Jax but it’s not enough to put her away. Baszler now comes in and now they get Baszler in a two on one situation. Rose tries to put her away but can’t. Brooke now takes it to Baszler. She gets in the corner and unloads with strikes. She now hits her with a back elbow and a bulldog. Brooke covers with Rose fends off Jax. Baszler kicks out and Rose is taken out on the outside. Baszler now goes to the floor and grabs Lana but this allows Brooke to take over. Back in the ring, Baszler locks in the Kirifuda Clutch. Lana distracts Baszler. Brooke covers but Lana is tied up with the ref. Baszler now takes over and locks in the Kirifuda Clutch again. Brooke taps out.
Winners: WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match
My Opinion:
This was an okay match but not exactly what I expected. I thought this match really could have been longer and could have been a true fight but instead, it was more to get Lana involved. I understand this more so is about the Survivor Series team and getting tension there but I hope in the future we see a better match between these two teams. I do believe in Mandy and Dana and it’d be great to see them have a competitive match where they come out as champions.
Backstage Segment: Randy Orton
Charly asks Randy if he thinks it will be difficult to hold on to his WWE Championship. Orton says he finds it laughable how many people forget how easy it is for the hunter to become the hunted, Randy says Drew needs a reminder and that will come in the form of the three most dangerous letters in the WWE, RKO.
Match 3: R-Truth vs Bobby Lashley
Truth lays down and tells Lashley to pin him. Lashley grabs him and brings him to his feet but Truth now fights back with a big kick. Lashley gets back in it and hits a big spear. Lashley then puts on the Hurt Lock. Lashley wins by submission. Lashley keeps the bell on after the match and then throws Truth to the ground. Drew Gulak now gets in the ring and covers Truth. Lashley grabs Gulak though and throws him down. He now puts Gulak in the Hurt Lock. Lashley now puts Gulak on Truth. Gulak pins him for the 1 2 3 and wins the 24/7 Championship. Lashley gets back in the ring and stares them down.
Winner: Bobby Lashley
My Opinion:
A very quick and dominating win for Lashley. He not only took out Truth but then Gulak. I know Sami Zayn has experience with Lashley and he may be ready for this match but he has to be nervous. Lashley is dominating at a big-time level right now and I don’t think anyone can stop him. Zayn is gonna have to pull another trick out of his bag if he thinks he will beat Lashley. This could be the biggest mismatch at Survivor Series but we will see how Zayn responds.
Backstage Segment: Lince Dorado & Gran Metalik & AJ Styles
Lince Dorado tells Gran Metalik about Gulak winning the 24/7 title. They start to walk but they run into AJ Styles bodyguard. Styles asks them if they were going somewhere. Dorado and Metalik then say they will go the other way. Styles then asks his bodyguard if he is ready for this. Styles has a message for his Survivor Series team, next!

Nia says how Lana claims to be a fighter so she will give her a chance at the end of the night. Nia says she will not be on Team Raw, on second thought she might just end her career.
In-Ring Segment: AJ Styles & Keith Lee & Sheamus & Braun Strowman

He says he is sure the next three picks will be just as talented. He says Raw has the advantage though because SmackDown lacks a leader. Styles then proclaims himself as the leader of Raw. Styles asks why you wouldn’t want a captain of the best of the best that is the very best. Styles says as his first order he is going to get the rallying call going and introduce his team starting with the Celtic Warrior Sheamus. Styles then introduces the powerhouse of the team, Keith Lee. Styles tells both of them he gathered them out here because they are the best of the best and their success is his success. He says he doesn’t care who they have to go through on team SmackDown whether it is Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, Rey, Dominik, or even Angie Mysterio. Lee tells him to hold on. Styles tells him to call him captain. Lee says he will not be intimidated because of his large friend. Sheamus tells Styles he agrees with the big man. He tells Styles while he was in the minor leagues he was here running through WWE.
Braun Strowman comes out and says all Monday Night Raw needs are these hands because if they have the Monster Among Men they will win. Lee tells him he will have to qualify as they all did. Strowman says that he has the most eliminations in the Survivor Series format and he has been a part of many wins so with his qualifications he should be captain. Strowman then tells Lee that he beat him clean. Adam Pearce comes out and says he would love to have Strowman on their team but he is having a tough time finding him a qualifying match. Lee then calls out Braun for saying he beat him clean. Sheamus tells Lee he will be the one to beat Braun. Styles then tells Adam that they should have a Triple Threat Match between Sheamus, Keith Lee, and Braun Strowman. Pearce asks if there are any objections. Strowman says they don’t pay him to talk. Pearce says with that, the Triple Threat is official.
Match 4: Braun Strowman vs Keith Lee vs Sheamus w/ AJ Styles On Commentary:

Sheamus now grinds Lee’s face into the mat. Lee fights back with shots to the midsection. Braun now runs at them and takes them both out. Braun now tears apart the announcer’s table.
Lee and Sheamus now work together to take it to Braun. Braun is now sent into the stair. Sheamus and Lee grab the steps together and hit Braun in the face. Sheamus now sends Lee into the ring post. Sheamus now gets Lee on the apron and hammers away on him. Lee drops. Sheamus now grabs him and grinds at his face. Lee stops him and now throws him into the barricade. Lee hits Sheamus in the back. He then lifts him up but Sheamus fights off and puts him in a sleeper. Braun now charges at him and sends all three of them through the barricade as Raw goes to break.

Braun then tells Sheamus to shake his hand. Sheamus swats his hand away but then gives him a hug. Sheamus now hits Braun with a Brogue. Lee then sends Sheamus to the floor. Styles then sends Lee to the floor. Styles tells them they all need to get along and listen to Captain Styles.
Winner: Braun Strowman: Joins Team Raw
My Opinion:
What a team Raw has so far. I don’t know how SmackDown will combat this but this will be very tough with the mass of humanity that this team has. If they can just get along on the night of Survivor Series they will have a great chance to win this. As for this match, it was as hard-hitting as I expected. These three really took it to each other and I wanted to see more.
Backstage Segment: Angel Garza
Garza says what you feel every time you see me is real, with your heart beating faster and your cheeks getting red. He says he feels the same way. He continues on and offers a rose.
Backstage Segment:
We then see Huskus and Ramblin Rabbit, the Firefly Fun House is next!
Backstage Segment: Drew McIntyre
McIntyre shakes off Orton’s threat and tells he made it clear he is the only one who will beat Randy Orton for the title. He says The Fiend can back off and if he gets his way he will face Roman Reigns at Survivor Series. She asks about The Miz and McIntyre tells that later tonight he has a two for one special with Claymore’s for all.
Firefly Fun House:
Bliss and Wyatt welcome everyone to the Firefly Fun House. Wyatt tells this episode is dedicated to the three most special letters in WWE. Huskus was PIG. They say no, RKO. Abby the Witch says after what Randy did to them he can go f*** himself. Alexa tells her she needs to put money in the swear jar. Abby tells her she can go f*** herself too. Wyatt says in the past Randy Orton was a bad bad man. He shows the footage of Orton burning down the Wyatt Compound. Wyatt says he never forgets. Bliss says before we go she would like to show everyone a trick she has been practicing. Bliss is now shown with a mass of red coming from her mouth. Wyatt says Oh Sh*t.
My Opinion:
This was an interesting episode tonight, I’m excited to see where the Wyatt and Orton rivalry will go. They had such a good feud in the past and I would expect the same this time around. I’m glad Bliss is now fully the level of Wyatt and I hope we see her do more in the ring now. Again, they can be an amazon powerhouse duo in WWE and I’d love to see them take over for a while. I also think McIntyre could have a great feud with The Fiend.
Match 5: Nia Jax w/ Shayna Baszler vs Lana.
***Before the match, Shayna Baszler clears off the announcer’s table.
Jax grabs Lana and drives her into the corner. Jax grabs her and throws her down. Lana tries to fight back but Jax grabs her and once again throws her down. Jax now crushes her in the corner again. Winner: Nia Jax
My Opinion:
Jax completely dominated this one and if she was looking to prove a point I think she did just that. Don’t get me wrong this match showed that Lana has a lot of heart and won’t give up but at the same time she didn’t stand a chance in this one. I think Lana will get back up and try to be on this team but she might be banged up now. We’ll see where this goes but right now hopefully Lana will be okay.

Woods tells how he is a big fan of Bobby Lashley and jokes about being a fan of him when he was a kid. Kofi then hypes up MVP and Shelton. He then says he is sure Cedric will be here for a while and have a great career and do great things. He then says The New Day has also been here doing it well for a long time. Kofi tells how they are the most decorated tag team of all time. He then says he has won more titles than all of them combined. He then jokes with Lashley that even he has won the WWE Champion. MVP tells Kofi he was proud of him for that title win but he lost the little to Brock Lesnar in 8 seconds. MVP says he bets Bobby Lashley could do it in less time than that. Kofi says he didn’t know they would try to hurt his feelings.
Kofi then jokes and says it’s funny you would use that time because according to Lana that is all the time you can last for. MVP says the problem with The NEW Day is that they joke around. He says when New Day talks about footwork they are dancing around for comedy but when they do it they stomping teeth in. He tells them they don’t want to dance with them. He then says Cedric and Shelton actually will dance all over their face and win the tag titles. Woods says you think. MVP says they don’t think, they know. Alexander covers Woods for the 1 2 3.
Winners: The Hurt Business (Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander)
My Opinion:
A very competitive match between these two teams. The amount of athleticism in this match was off the charts. This one came down to the end and I was shocked New Day made a mistake but this is a huge win for The Hurt Business. Alexander and Benjamin proved they can beat the tag champs and we will see if they get a title shot in the future. This was very impressive though and they should get a title shot. For The New Day, I don’t think they will lose twice in a row but maybe Benjamin and Alexander are one team who have their number.
Backstage Segment: Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross
Nikki comes up to Alexa and asks her what is going on. She says The Fiend is behind this right? She asks her if he is the one who is making her shut her out. Cross tries to tell Bliss she is stronger than The Fiend. She tells Alexa to look at her but as she trunks around her eyes have red in them and she smiles at Cross. Cross looks in terror.

They now team up on Tucker and beat him down. They now bring Ricochet back in the ring. Ricochet tries to fight back but he again is beat down. Ali tells Ricochet no sin is forgiven until it is punished. T-Bar and Mace then drive Ricochet into the mat. Retribution stands tall.
Winner: Ricochet
My Opinion:
This was a quick win for Ricochet but ultimately he got beat down and didn’t get to celebrate this one. I’m not sure what this was all about but Ricochet is another talented superstar that deserves more. Maybe if he joined Retribution he would get used more but even right now Retribution isn’t the best. We will have to see what happens next with them and if this will turn around.
Backstage Segment: Drew McIntyre & Sheamus
McIntyre tells Sheamus it’s good to see him. McIntyre then talks about his match with Miz and Morrison. Sheamus then asks McIntyre to think about joining Team Raw at Survivor Series. ***After the match, Orton hits McIntyre with the RKO. we then hear The Fiend laughing and Raw finishes with, “LET ME IN”!
Winner: Drew McIntyre
My Opinion:
What a fight McIntyre brought to Miz and Morrison. Not many people would take on a Handicap Match but McIntyre isn’t phased by numbers, he just out there to win and hurt people. Miz and Morrison gave it their best shot but McIntyre is on a different level right now and he is one of the most dangerous superstars to step in the ring with. You can bet Miz will continue to see Drew McIntyre if he tries to cash in on Randy Orton. I did love Randy getting that RKO in. He showed McIntyre that he is the champion and he too can strike out of nowhere. Then to make things better we have The Fiend at the end. I for one would not mind seeing this Triple Threat Match someday!
Final Thoughts:
Another decent night on Raw as the build towards Survivor Series continues. First, I loved the Triple Threat Match between Sheamus, Keith Lee, and Braun Strowman. This was as hard-hitting as it gets it was a hard-earned victory for Braun. This Raw Survivor Series Team is shaping up to be very special. I loved the match between The New Day and The Hurt Business. Cedric and Shelton pulled off a huge win and really made a statement. I’d love to see this rivalry continues because I know they will always have solid matches and it could be somewhat like the feud The New Day had with The Usos. I loved what we saw from Alexa Bliss and Bray Wyatt.
I think they are amazing together and once again they left me wondering what they will do next. For Randy Orton, he is of course a legend as he said and he is great as WWE Champion. Obviously, Drew McIntyre wants to change that and I think he will again someday. I loved Drew stepping up for the main event tonight. He beat two very good superstars and was dominating as always. Orton got his shot in on McIntyre which was fair considering McIntyre did it to him. We will see what they do next and plus we have The Fiend looming. As I said I’d love to see these three go at it. Always I hope everyone stays safe and healthy this week and enjoys NXT and SmackDown!
Overall Rating: 5/10
