Tonight coming from the ThunderDome we will see the Fall-Out Edition of Monday Night Raw following SummerSlam last night and will show the build for this Sunday’s PAYBACK PPV! First, we will see the arrival of Keith Lee! What will Lee have to say about his arrival and who will he be targeting on the red brand? Plus, what will Aleister Black have to say as he joins Kevin Owens on the Kevin Owens Show? Next, what will Seth Rollins have to say about his win over Dominik Mysterio? Then, after capturing the Raw Women’s Championship last night can Asuka retain tonight as she defends against Sasha Banks? Finally, what’s next for Drew McIntyre as WWE Champion?
Raw comes to us from the WWE ThunderDome inside the Amway Center
Raw kicks off with us being introduced by Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton, and Samoa Joe with a review of last night’s SummerSlam!
In-Ring Segment: Drew McIntyre
McIntyre welcomes everyone to the ThunderDome. He then brings up his match with Randy Orton and calls it his biggest challenge but says he is still here as WWE Champion. He then tells Randy he pulled it off because he is hungrier and works harder and when the chips are down he pushes forward. He then says he is so damn proud to be WWE Champion. He then says his journey has been one where he didn’t always know where his next paycheck was coming from. He then says Randy was protected and coddled. He says Randy was good when he started and then got better and now he is the best.
He then asks Randy about him bragging about being the greatest wrestler. He then asks what that makes him since he beat Randy with a wrestling move. He then tells Randy if he wants to get back in this ring he will do what he didn’t do last night and kick Randy’s head off sending him to Claymore Country. McIntyre then heads up the ramp and plays to the cheers of the crowd. Orton comes from behind and attacks him. McIntyre fights back and the two fight into the Gorilla Position. Orton then goes after McIntyre’s eyes and sends him into a wall. Orton then hits the Punt Kick. Orton comes back and hits McIntyre with another Punt Kick.
My Opinion:
I am really happy this feud between these two is going to continue on. McIntyre got the win last night but it was in a way that you knew this was far from over. These two have done so well working together and I know this story can get greater. Right now you see Randy finally getting one over on McIntyre. This is huge for Randy because he has not really hurt McIntyre physically yet and it seemed to be a huge question whether or not Randy could lay him out. You know McIntyre will fight back and I think we can expect a much more hard-hitting start the next time these two lock up.
Backstage Segment: Drew McIntyre
McIntyre tries to get to his feet but stumbles. He finally does stand up and tells officials that he is fine but he is visibly shaken up.
***We then see a hype video for the debut of Keith Lee tonight!
Backstage Segment: Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler
Sara asks Nia what she is doing here. Nia asks Sara where her manors are and tells her not to speak to her like this. Sara then says how Nia was suspended. Nia says she went to Pat Buck and apologized. Shayna comes up to her and says they’re all just waiting for her to get suspended again. Nia then asks Shayna why she isn’t getting ready for her match with Bayley. The two then take shots at each other with Shayna calling Nia Haystacks Calhoun and Nia calling Shayna an Adam’s Family reject. Shayna then welcomes her back.
Match 1: Bayley w/ Sasha Banks vs Shayna Baszler
***Before the match begins Nia comes out to watch the match from the stage.
As Raw returns from break the match begins. Baszler is able to work the right arm of Bayley. Bayley goes to the corner and the Baszler is backed off. Baszler stays on the offensive and works slowly on the left shoulder of Bayley. Bayley gets away and now takes a break on the floor. Bayley gets back in the ring and is able to hit Baszler in the midsection. Bayley works a headlock now and takes Baszler to the mat. Baszler fights to her feet and once again gets on the offensive. Baszler now takes Bayley down with a big knee strike.
Baszler looks to put Bayley away but Banks provides a distraction to stop her. Bayley now gets Baszler in the corner and stomps on her. Bayler tries to put away Baszler but she kicks out. Bayley gets Baszker on the mat and hits her with an elbow to the back of the neck. Bayley covers but again Baszler kicks out. Baszler now fights back with big shots to the body. Bayley makes a comeback as Baszler is sent to the outside. Nia makes her way to ringside and hits Baszler which ends the match. Baszler fights back and stuns Nia. Nia is able to grab her and throw her down onto the LED boards. Nia now gets her in the ring and taunts her. Nia now stares down Bayley and Sasha. Nia and Baszler now get out of the ring and back Bayley and Sasha up the ramp.
Winner: Shayna Baszler: Via DQ
My Opinion:
This was a slower-paced match than I expected between these two. I really love the matchup of Bayley and Shayna but obviously we didn’t get to see that definitive ending. I think with the way things ended up we will see Shayna and Nia teaming up against Banks and Bayley at some point. It’s interesting because Bayley and Sasha had all the gold but it is highly possible that Shayna and Nia could have that too. It makes sense for them to work together for now and wait to have that big match between each other.
Backstage Segment: Kevin Owens
Owens asks where Aleister Black’s room is. Owens finds it and bangs on the door. Black answers but the room to black and we can’t hear him. Owens asks Black if he is going to come on the KO Show. he then says he will see him out there.
In-Ring Segment: The KO Show Hosted By Kevin Owens w/ Aleister Black
Owens welcomes everyone to the first Kevin Owens Show inside the ThunderDome. He then says he has a special guest tonight that you wouldn’t expect. He says they have had a common enemy over the past few months. He then welcomes returning to Raw, Aleister Black! Black appears and has a bandage over his right eye after the damage he suffered at the hands of Murphy. Black comes down to the ring but can’t bear to go up the steps and rolls in the ring instead. Owens thanks him for being here. Owens tells Black everyone has been concerned with what has happened to him. He then asks Black how his eye is healing up. Black says to show the footage of what Murphy did to him. Owens says he doesn’t think they need to see it. Black says it’s fine and to play it. Owens then calls for the footage and we see the video. Owens then tells Black he knows how he is feeling because Seth Rollins and his disciples can get under your skin and in your head. Owens says it’s not just him, it’s something Seth loves to do. He says he has done a lot of terrible things to people in the past but he is trying to do better. He then says Seth Rollins isn’t like that. Black then falls out of the chair. Owens goes to check pon him but Black hits him. He then lays out Owens with the Black Mass.
My Opinion:
I love the side we saw of Aleister Black tonight! I hope this is a permanent switch and we see more of him acting out like this because Black is a guy who could do so well in this position. He is built to be the perfect bad guy with the way he looks, talks, and acts. It’s interesting he would turn on Owens as it may have been more impactful to have him do it to Rey or Dominik. Either way, it should be very interesting to see where this goes, it’d be awesome to see him as a heel and maybe even join Rollins and Murphy.
Backstage Segment: Sasha Banks & Bayley
Charly comes up to Bayley and Sasha and tells them they just narrowly escaped Shayna and Nia. Bayley says they got away because Sasha has a big match tonight and she can’t afford getting hurt. She says all they are focused on is getting Sasha back to being 2 Belts Banks. She then says after that happens tonight they will then deal with Nia and Shayna.
Match 2: Shelton Benjamin (c) vs Cedric Alexander vs R-Truth vs Akira Tozawa
24/7 Championship Match
The match starts quickly with Truth and then Alexander trying to steal pins. Benjamin stays in control and makes sure they don’t get three counts. Benjamin sends Alexander to the apron. As Alexander tries to jump in the ring Benjamin hits him with a big knee strike. Benjamin now goes after Truth. He then catches Tozawa and throws him to the outside. The Ninjas then catch Tozawa. Tozawa with help from the Ninjas who are holding Benjamin, pins Truth and wins the 24/7 Championship. Benjamin then takes out three Ninjas on the outside. Tozawa is able to get away before Benjamin can get him too.
Winner: Akira Tozawa: New 24/7 Champion
My Opinion:
This title has seen a lot of TV time lately but I’m still not sure it’s making a big impression. This title as much as I’d like to take it seriously still feels like a comedy title and I don’t get how given the talent of the wrestler’s fighting for it. This championship could have meant so much for but I guess you have to just accept it for what it is. In the beginning, though this title was much more entertaining. I hope if they continue to air the title this much it goes back to being as good as it was when Truth and Drake Maverick were fighting over it.
Backstage Segment: Randy Orton
Sara asks Randy if he cares to comment after what he did to Drew McIntyre. Randy says yes I do and heads to the ring.
In-Ring Segment: Randy Orton & Keith Lee
Orton talks about how he has always been able to do whatever he wants to whoever he wants but last night that wasn’t the case. He says he promised to RKO Drew McIntyre, kick him in the skull and take his title but he didn’t. Orton says you can call him a lot of things but he will always be a man of his word. Then talks about taking out Edge, Christian, Big Show, Ric Flair, and Shawn Michaels and says he is the Legend Killer. He then tells Drew he loved kicking him in the skull twice. He says he did because Drew offered him a rematch out of pity. He then asks McIntyre who the hell he thinks he is. Randy starts to talk himself up but he is cut off by Keith Lee!
Lee tells Randy he seems a little perplexed. He says that makes sense because they haven’t been properly introduced. Lee introduces himself and says he has come here to give Orton the chance to bask in his glory. He says Orton has been called The Viper, The Apex Predator, Legend Killer. Lee says he has been called game-changer, an anomaly, and Limitless. He then tells Randy it seems he is looking for a fight. He says with respect to his friend Drew McIntyre he would step up and accept the challenge right here right now. Randy questions him for wanting to fight him. Randy says maybe later and gets out of the ring.
My Opinion:
It’s so awesome to see Keith Lee on Raw and there is no better way to welcome him than a challenge to Randy Orton! Lee is someone who is here to make an impact. He isn’t one of these NXT guys who gets called up and then floats around, he is a star, he is the star right now and it’s time he makes a big splash on Raw. I cannot wait to see what Lee does going forward and I know there are a ton of big matches for him to have. This is some major star power for Raw and if everyone doesn’t know by now they will know soon the magic of Keith Lee!
Backstage Segment: Zelina Vega & Angel Garza & Demi Burnett
Charly goes to talk about Drew McIntyre but stops as she sees Angel, Demi, and Zelina. Charly asks Zelina if she is finally ready to admit that she poisoned Montez Ford. Zelina says that footage proves nothing. Angel steps in and says Zelina is getting upset. He then says everyone has been caught before. Zelina doesn’t like this and walks away saying she has to get ready for her match. Angel then invites Demi to watch his match, next!
***Keith Lee will face Randy Orton tonight!!!
Match 3: Angel Garza w/ Andrade & Demi Burnett vs Montez Ford w/ Angelo Dawkins
Garza works a headlock but Ford is able to back to the ropes and break the hold. Ford uses his quickness to get to Garza and take him down. Ford lands a kick from the apron now. Garza fights back and gets Ford up top. He gets him hung up and is able to hit him again in the corner. Garza tries to put him away but Ford kicks out. Garza now works the neck of Ford. Garza takes down Ford.
Ivar now makes his way down to the ring and gives a turkey leg to Demi. She then asks her to get out of her and she leaves with him. Ford takes advantage of the distraction and is able to land a kick as Garza’s mind is not in it. Ford goes up top but here comes Garza knocking him down. Ford comes back with a series of rights and knocks him to the mat. Ford hits the big splash. He covers and gets the 1 2 3.
Winner: Montez Ford
My Opinion:
A great looking win for Montez tonight. He continues to shine when he gets the opportunity on his own and he really helps keep the momentum of the Street Profits going. Montex to me could be a singles star on his own. I think he and Dawkins are great together but Montez really just shines and looks like a star when he has the chance to showcase it on his own. It will be interesting to see if we see him get more singles matches in the future but for now, the Street Profits are killing it both in singles and tag action!
Backstage Segment: Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler
Nia tells Shayna she wasn’t thrilled teaming up with her at PayBack. She says the more she thought about it they could win the tag team titles and she wants the title. Shayna tells her if she helps her with that then she needs to get off her back and leave her alone. Nia tells her as long as you follow my lead. They then slap hands.
Backstage Segment: Bianca Belair & Ruby Riott & Liv Morgan
Bianca, Ruby, and Liv prepare for their match, next! Bianca says they are going to go out and whoop these three (Zelina Vega & The IIconics (Peyton Royce & Billie Kay).
Match 4: Zelina Vega & The IIconcis (Peyton Royce & Billie Kay) vs The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott & Liv Morgan) & Bianca Belair
Morgan and Kay lock up to start the match. Kay gets the advantage and throws Morgan into the corner. Royce tags in and tries to build on this but Morgan is able to fight back. Morgan beats down Royce and gets her into her corner. She now tags in Riott. Royce fights back and tags in Kay. She now sends Riott into a big kick from Kay. Kay covers but Riott kicks out. Kay stays on the offensive before tagging in Vega.
Vega takes down Riott and works a cover but she kicks out. Vega now goes to a chin lock. Riott is able to get up but Vega fights it off and takes down Morgan on the apron. Belair gets the tag and she takes down Vega. She then takes down Kay and Royce. Belair lifts Vega and slams her to the mat. Belair then hits a moonsault. She covers but it is broken up by Royce. Morgan and Riott now join in to help Belair. Belair stays with it and gets on the offensive again. She hits the KOD and gets the 1 2 3 on the cover.
Winners: The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott & Liv Morgan) & Bianca Belair
My Opinion:
This is a big victory for Bianca but I’d think this feud with Zelina is far from over. I do like seeing Zelina in the ring though as she really does have a lot to offer and it’s not something we get to see all the time. I’m glad this week though to see the Riott Squad together and better than ever. They didn’t get to do a ton in this match but I hope we see them continue to be in good positions and show what they can do as a team!
Backstage Segment: Mark Henry & Cedric Alexander & Ricochet & MVP
Mark Henry tells Ricochet and Cedric he has to take the arm wrestling setup unless they want to go. They say no and Henry takes it to the ring for what’s coming up next. MVP comes up and questions Cedric for messing around with Ricochet after he just lost his 24/7 Championship. Ricochet then questions him for asking Cedric to join him again. MVP says they are a family and tells Cedric he is wasting his prime years walking around with a guy who calls himself the one and only. MVP says he will have one more offer for Cedric and then says he has to go take care of the business with the United States Championship.
In-Ring Segment: Arm Wrestling Contest: Apollo Crews vs Bobby Lashley:
Hosted By Mark Henry
Mark says SummerSlam is over and we are 6 short days away from PAYBACK. He then says there are two men who will face off and right now they will see who is the strongest heading into their match. He then welcomes the first competitor, Bobby Lashley. Mark then says with an impressive victory in retaining his United States Championship, the future, the incomparable, Apollo Crews! Mark says he has told Mustafa Ali, Ricochet, and Cedric Alexander along with MVP and Shelton not to come down here.
Bobby says he doesn’t need them down here. He says he will slam Apollo’s hand down and then beat him down but not too bad so he comes this Sunday. He then calls him a little man. Apollo questions Bobby and tells him he will beat him. Mark then tells them to get ready. Apollo steps on Bobby’s foot after Lashley tries to get an unfair advantage. He then slams down Lashley’s hand. Mark then declares Apollo the win. Lashley now goes after Crews but Crews fights back and sends him out of the ring. He then takes down MVP and Shelton Benjamin who try to get involved. Crews then gets out of dodge.
My Opinion:
Once again Apollo shines and does what he has to in order to get one over on The Hurt Business. Crews is always impressive and I love the personality he brings to the ring as well. Of course, this Sunday he has a tougher challenge in trying to face Bobby Lashley but if Apollo wins he will prove he really is that good. Right now it still feels like the belief in him goes back and forth but a good showing on Sunday will cement Apollo Crews as one of the guys.
Backstage Segment: Rey & Dominik & Angie Mysterio
Rey talks with Dominik and his wife Angie. Charly comes up to them and asks Rey about his emotions of Dominik having his first match but that match being against two men who have caused them so much strife. Rey says no matter what happens tonight he is proud of his son. He then says last night Dominik gave Seth hell and he couldn’t be more proud of his son. Dominik says his family by his side is what helped him get through this and felt like he could do this. Rey says Seth will have a family of his own and understand. Rey tells Dominik tonight will be a great night and it has been a night he has thought about for years where he could share the ring with his son. He then tells Seth he is looking at the bright future of Monday Night Raw in Dominik.
In-Ring Segment: Lana & Natalya
Lana says it is a special day because they are inducting a special woman into the Hall Of Fame. Lana then boasts about Natalya. Natalya says she will get her own induction someday but tonight is about Mickie James and Mickie is a trailblazer but the trail is over. She says tonight they retire the chick with the kick. Natalya then says they put together a reel of all her highlights. Natalya says to play it but nothing plays. Natalya says exactly there’s nothing. Mickie comes to the ring and takes down Natalya, she then hits Lana with the Mick Kick.
My Opinion:
As I said I didn’t like the return natch of Mickie James as it didn’t do much for her or Natalya and it made them look like an afterthought. Again, tonight it just felt like they were rushed and it didn’t mean much. This is what it is but I hope these two get a chance to have at least a 10-minute match uninterrupted and show what they can do. This could be an amazing feud right here if they give them more time to shine.
Backstage Segment: Shane McMahon & Bobby Lashley & MVP & Shelton Benjamin
Bobby, MVP, and Shelton come up to Shane. Bobby says he wants to fight tonight and he doesn’t give a damn who it’s against. Shane tells him absolutely and invites him into Raw Underground.
Raw Underground:
As Raw returns, we see Bobby choking his opponent out with a front face lock. Ziggler now gets in there with Bobby. Ziggler goes after his leg and is able to work a takedown. Bobby fights back and gets on top of Ziggler. Ziggler fights his way back and works a sleeper hold. Lashley fights him off and throws him down to the floor. Another guy is sent into the ring and Lashley kicks the guy, dropping him and sending him to the floor.
Match 5: Randy Orton vs Keith Lee
The two lock up with Lee backing Orton into the corner. Orton is able to work a side headlock on Lee. Orton can’t take Lee down. Lee is able to break the hold and shove Orton the mat. Orton gets to his feet. He stomps on Lee and hits him with a strike to the body. Lee now catches the punch of Orton. He then hits him with a standing overhead belly to belly. On the floor now, Orton is able to fight off Lee and send him shoulder-first into the ring post. In the ring, Orton now stomps on the body of Lee. he then goes to a chin lock. Lee is able to stand up with Orton on his back in a sleeper hold.
Lee backs him into the corner and breaks the hold. He then crushes Orton in the corner before dropping him off the ropes. Lee now hits the shoulder tackle and launches him out of the ring. Lee brings Orton into the ring. Orton catches him and gets him hung up in the ropes. Orton then lands the big DDT. Orton looks for the RKO but Drew McIntyre pulls him out of the ring and goes on the attack. McIntyre bounces Orton off the barricade and stays on the attack. Orton is able to escape the clutches of McIntyre. McIntyre still looks out of it but he stands tall in the ring.
Winner: Randy Orton: Via DQ
My Opinion:
A solid debut for Keith Lee, this didn’t give away all his greatest tricks but it showed what he is about. He has all the power in the world and made someone as seasoned as Randy Orton question himself. Lee has a bright future on Raw and I think he showed he isn’t scared and won’t back down. For Lee, it’s a great sign he gets to start off on Raw with such a high profiled match. However, I like the decision to have McIntyre come and disrupt this match. Neither Lee nor Orton could afford that loss so this was a good way to get his done. McIntyre still looked like he was shaken but what Randy did to him but at least he got his shots in.
***We then take a look at the return of Roman Reigns at SummerSlam!
***At PAYBACK we will see Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman vs Bray Wyatt in a No Holds Barred Match for the Universal Championship! Contract Signing this Friday!

Drew says it doesn’t feel good and Randy tried to end his career. Orton then comes from behind and attacks McIntyre again. He then hits him with a third Punt Kick.
Backstage Segment: Drew McIntyre Update
Charly says Drew Mcintyre is inside the trainer’s room right now. She says what she heard from doctors is not good. She says he could have a skull fracture and that could mean bleeding in the brain which could be a career-threatening injury.
Match 6: Asuka (c) vs Sasha Banks:
Lumberjack Match For The Raw Women’s Championship
Banks tries a quick cover but Asuka kicks out. Asuka gets up and throws Banks to the floor. Banks gets up and pushes Ruby Riott. Banks gets on the apron and she is sent to the floor via a rearview. Bayley now goes over to keep Banks safe from everyone else as Raw goes to break.
As Raw returns, Banks grabs Asuka by the hair and pulls her to the floor. She then beats down on her. Bayley gets involved and helps Banks. Banks and Asuka now get back in the ring. Banks covers but Asuka again kicks out. Asuka fights back and tries to get the upper hand. She flies off the second turnbuckle and hits a DDT. She covers but Banks kicks out. Asuka then hits Banks as she is on the apron. Asuka now fights through the Lumberjacks to try and get to Bayley. This now allows Banks to hit Asuka and get back in control. In the ring, Banks hits the frog splash. She covers but Asuka kicks out. Bayley tries to get a chair involved but Shayna stops her. Asuka now is able to lock in the Asuka Lock. Banks tries to hang on but she has to tap.
Winner: Asuka: Still Raw Women’s Champion
My Opinion:
This was an enjoyable match between these two but it was no surprise that Asuka was able to keep her focus and get this one over with. Asuka is a great champion and she is no doubt a great leader for Raw. I’m excited now with Banks out of the way to see who can step up for the title. It’s not that I don’t love Asuka taking on Banks but I feel like we need to see more women get the chance to step up so we can go back to seeing them main-event and having these huge matches we know they should be having. I’m very excited though with where the division is at and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
Backstage Segment: Drew McIntyre Update & Keith Lee
An ambulance takes away Drew McIntyre. Charly says Drew is on his way to a local medical facility to undergo more evaluation. She then welcomes Keith Lee and asks how he feels. Keith says there was a part of him where he wanted to tell him not to get involved in his debut. He says he just saw his friend gets loaded and taken away in an ambulance. He says luckily his friend is one of the toughest people he knows and he will be okay. He then says he can’t say the same for Randy Orton.
Raw Underground:
We now see Bobby Lashley and Cedric Alexander going at it. Alexander tries to take down Lashley but Lashley hangs on. He gets down on the mat and is able to choke out Cedric. Ivar now comes in the ring but he gets jumped by Shelton and MVP. Erik comes in to help but now Lashley is involved. Lashley is able to work the arm of Ivar and tap him out. Shane then says business is booming with the Hurt Business. Shane says we will see what happens on Raw Underground, next week!
My Opinion:
This really wasn’t that great this week and the only thing it accomplished was telling us how tough Lashley is but we’ve known that for a long time. I really like this Raw Underground and at first, it seemed like such a great idea. The issue is only a few weeks later it already seems like a secondary thought, it isn’t given a lot of time, and it just feels like it won’t get better soon. This really sucks because it has a ton of potential but right now it’s just not hitting as it should. I’m still invested though and I hope they turn it around in the coming weeks.
***Keith Lee will face Randy Orton at PAYBACK This Sunday!
Match 7: Dominik Mysterio & Rey Mysterio vs Seth Rollins & Murphy
Dominik and Rey go right after Rollins and Murphy before the match begins. The Mysterio’s hang tough to start but Murphy and Rollins are able to fight back. Rey is then sent over the announcer’s table. This now leaves Dominik all alone.
The match begins and Dominik takes on Murphy. He is able to work an arm drag and then send Murphy out of the ring. Rey takes out Rollins on the floor. Rey then sends Rollins into the ring. Rey and Dominik then double team
Rollins. Rey looks for the 619 but Murphy pulls Rollins out of harm’s way. Dominik then flies to the outside and takes out Murphy and Rollins as Raw goes to break.
As Raw returns, Rey is down with Rollins in control. Rollins grabs Rey and taunts him and Dominik. Rollins then goes and hits Dominik on the apron knocking him to the floor. Rollins gets Rey in the corner. Rey hits him with a kick. He then flies off the top and plants Rollins after taking down Murphy with a kick as he was on Rollins’ shoulder. Rey keeps Rollins and Murphy down. Dominik tags in and he is able to take down Murphy. Dominik goes to the apron and then flies off the ropes to hit a springboard. He covers but Murphy kicks out. Dominik now sends Murphy into the ring post.
Dominik then hits Murphy with the DDT. He covers but Rollins breaks it up. Rollins picks up Dominik now but Dominik is able to fight off. Rey tags in and sends Rollins into the middle rope. Murphy now tags in. He tries a cover on Rey but Rey kicks out. Rey now gets Murphy set up for the 619. He tags in Dominik and they hit a double 619. Dominik goes up top but the lights go out and he is launched off the top. Rollins and Murphy get out of dodge. Retribution is now in the ring and they take it to Rey and Dominik. Dominik is sent to the floor and so is Rey. They continue to beat down Dominik on the outside. They then tale Rey and launch him into the ring post. Retribution stands tall on the apron as Raw goes off the air.
Winners: No Contest
My Opinion:
Another crazy attack from Retribution. We still know nothing about this group but every time they show up they continue to create chaos. I really like this story and I’m highly intrigued by what they will do next. It’ll be interesting to see if they make an appearance on SmackDown and maybe even on PPV this Sunday. As for the match, it was super cool to see Rey tag with Dominik. I love what Dominik is doing in his first two matches and I think he has a lot of potential. It’ll be very exciting to see what he does going forward and watch the growth of Dominik as a wrestler. I’m sure this rivalry though is far from over and we will see more from these four!
Final Thoughts:
First, I was super excited to see Keith Lee debut on Raw. He showed some of the amazing things he can do in the ring and shined against Randy Orton. There is no telling what Lee will do on Raw and there are so many big-time matches for him to have now that he has arrived! This Sunday he will have the chance again to shine against Randy Orton and I would love to see Lee get this huge win! On that same note, we go to Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre. This rivalry got even more personal tonight and I loved every second of it. I’m sure we will get more of an update within the next week but I can only imagine the hard-hitting match McIntyre and Orton will have next! I wasn’t the biggest fan of Raw Underground tonight. There wasn’t a ton to it and they weren’t even given that much time.
I like what we are seeing from the Hurt Business though and it seems Bobby really could get that big win this Sunday. I was happy to see Asuka retain her title, there is a lot of talent for her to face on Raw and I’m sure many people will step up soon. To end the night I loved seeing Retribution on Raw. This group is very interesting and you never know what they will do next. I’m excited to see where it goes and I hope it pays off and pays off big! The match itself was an entertaining one. I love Dominik as an in-ring performer and I can’t wait to see what he does next. It was great seeing him in the ring with his dad and I hope to see them together again in the future! As always I hope everyone stays safe and healthy. Enjoy NXT, SmackDown, and PAYBACK!
Overall Rating: 5/10
