Why The Wyatts Will Steal The Show
Why The Wyatts Will Steal The Show
This Sunday wrestling fanatics worldwide will gather to witness the return of the most brutal battle of them all, Elimination Chamber. Last year we saw the absence of the chamber, but we’re ready to welcome the compelling contest back with open arms. With a promising match card and heated feuds, this years Elimination Chamber looks to be unforgettable.
While there are lots of bouts we could take a look at, the focal point of the show (at least for me) is the Wyatt Family. On Sunday we’ll watch the explosive collision between the Royal Rumble winner, Randy Orton, and Luke Harper.
Harper is driven by vengeance. He sees Orton as a stake driven through his once tight bond with Bray Wyatt, and he is hungry for retribution. This feud is not one to be taken lightly. The dawn of the Wyatt Family era is upon us, and this match will put the final nail in that coffin. This is not your everyday “I want the title” “No I want the title” dispute. This fight is rooted in broken family ties and pure animosity, so we can expect a grueling conflict not soon to be forgotten.
Hopefully, Harper can use this strong story line as a launching pad for his promising solo career. He would benefit greatly from a win here, but thinking ahead rationally, Orton needs to walk away victorious. He can’t afford to look weak with his Wrestlemania main event right around the corner.
The Royal Rumble left us with a lot of questions. Some along the lines of “Why Randy Orton?”, “Is this 2007?”, and simply “What the hell?” Whether you were pleased with the outcome of the rumble or not, you can’t deny that Orton winning was a total shock. But it presents the creative team with a perfect opportunity to actually do their job. You know, be creative.
Having Bray Wyatt walk out of the chamber as champ would arguably be the best thing to happen so far this year. To put it nicely, Wyatt has received the short end of the stick throughout most of his run in WWE. But his time to shine is fast approaching.
The World Heavyweight Championship WILL change hands. It has to. There’s no way we’re going to be subjected to yet another Cena vs. Orton match on the grandest stage of them all . I can already hear the collective sigh from the WWE Universe when Cena drops the title, ensuring we won’t see The Champ vs. The Viper for the seemingly 600th time.
However, Wyatt vs. Orton would be a brilliant route to take. Not only have we waited for this battle for almost a year, think of all the possible feuds with Wyatt as champ (Wyatt vs. Styles, Wyatt vs. Corbin, just to name a few). Wyatt is just such an interesting character, he can’t help but breathe life into every feud he’s involved in. As champ, his charisma and utter creepiness could bring a new vibe to Smackdown Live. Having Wyatt walk away from the unforgiving steel as champ would be a bold move. One that would prove that the blue brand is not the inferior one, but the one that dares to be different.
Like it or not, Wyatt deserves it. It’s about time “The New Face of Fear” dons some gold around his waist. Elimination Chamber could make or break Wrestlemania, and the line is very fine. It will either be a stale feud headlining The Show of Shows, or one that will have fans forced to the edge of their seats: The Eater of Worlds vs. The Apex Predator.
Just stumbled upon this blog, huge wrestling fan . I can’t understand why more people aren’t checking this out. Are you going to do any more articles on upcoming events? I would love to read more of your articles. I’ll check daily for more by Taylor.
Well who won the cage ? I missed it, I’ve been out of the loop for awhile but got the interest back. I found this site and loved it.?
No way! Wyatt will never be the charismatic champ like Cena. The Apex Predator is going to rule the CHAMBER no ifs , ands or buts. Harper will have to be scraped from the cage when the Predator has his way.?
Taylor , where ya been? Pay attention WWE you have a new writer right here! OH YEAH!!!!!!
Holy #@&*!!! , what a great article and outlook on the future possibilities of Wyatt being the new face of WWE .
