In Ring Segment: Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch
Rollins tells how last night Baron Corbin thought he was going to take the title from him. Before he can speak further here comes Becky Lynch!
Rollins tells Lynch she kinda interrupted him. Lynch says, did I? Rollins says he has to give Corbin credit, he tells that Corbin was smart enough to know he couldn’t outwrestle him and was smart enough to get a ref that he couldn’t bash in with a steel chair. He says he was smart enough to get a ref that would try to get the title away from him but he wasn’t smart enough to realize he has the best back up on the planet. Lynch says it pays to be the man’s man and we showed why they are at the top of their division. Lynch goes on about Evans and says how she is a plank. She says Lynch tried to steal the title off of someones shoulder’s but that wasn’t going to happen and that’s when the man comes around. Baron Corbin’s music then hits.
Lynch is attacked from behind by Evans. Lynch fights back and Rollins tries to break it up. Lynch goes back after her. Corbin comes in and Rollins lays him out with a sling blade. Lynch then takes care of Evans with a becksploder. Corbin and Evans go to the outside. Corbin tells Rollins Lynch is handling all his business. Evans tells Lynch to get her girl out of her unless she wnats her to get her hands on him again. Corbin says if it wasn’t for Lynch he would be Universal Champion. Corbin then states Evans is the only real women they have around her. He then says he would take Evans as his mixed tag team partner anytime, anywhere. Evans says she accepts the invitation and says they should do it at Extreme Rules. Lynch says they can do that but if they win then Evans and Corbin will get no more chances at them. Corbin says they will see the stipulation. Rollins says they accept they don’t care what it is. Corbin tells him he should care because at Extreme Rules it will winners take all.
My Opinion:
I really like this match for Extreme Rules, I think it’s an interesting dynamic we don’t see muhc except for the Mixed Match Challenge and it should be a good one. We knew that Corbin and Evans would get another chance so instead of single’s matches this is a better way to do it. I think people love Lynch and Rollins together so they should get a good reception. It’s a good way for them to finally rid of these rivalries and move on to new things ahead of Summer Slam.
Match 1: Daniel Bryan & Rowan & The Revival vs The Usos & The New Day (Big E Xavier Woods): 8 Man Elimination Tag Match
Brayn and Woods start the match but before they can lock up Dawson tags in. Dawson is able to land a takedown and get Woods in a side headlock. Big E tags in and takes down Dawson. Woods and Big E double team Dawson but can’t eliminate him on the pin. Big E tosses Dawson but Rowan tags in. Rowan takes down Big E and then Woods. He then takes out The Usos. Rowan tries a splash but Big E moves out of the way. Bryan tags in but Woods gets a tag as well. Woods lands a series of kicks and builds momentum. Bryan is able to knock down Woods and then send Woods to the floor. Bryan then flies through the ropes but hits Dawson instead of Woods. Back in the ring, Bryan hits a huge dropkick from the top taking down Woods. He then hits the Yes kicks on Woods. Bryan misses on the last one but stays in control. Bryan lands a standing switching and tries a cover but Dawson comes in and takes out Bryan. Woods gets the cover and Eliminates Bryan and Rowan. Wilder comes in and he and Dawson hit the Shatter Machine on Woods. Wilder gets the 1 2 3 on the cover and pins Woods to eliminate The New Day as Raw goes to break.
As Raw returns, The Usos take out The Revival on the floor. Back in the ring, the match restarts as a tag match. Jey flies off the top rope and takes down Wilder but can’t put him away. Jimmy comes in and he and Jey double team Wilder but still it’s not enough. Jimmy lands a big kick and another to follow. Wilder comes back with a power slam but gets a two on the cover. Wilder hits him with a big right hand on the apron but Jimmy answers with a headbutt. Jimmy misses on the superkick and it allows Dawson to tag in. they double team Jimmy and drive him into the mat. Dawson meets him with a right hand and goes up top. Jey tags in. Jey takes down Wilder on one side. Dawson hits a suplex on Jimmy. Jey jumps off of Wilder on the top rope and hits a splash on Dawson. Jey goes for the cover and gets the 1 2 3.
Winners: The Usos
My Opinion:
This a big win for The Usos. when the match was restarted as the traditional tag The Usos took over and showed why they are so successful as a team. I love the fight that they bring and they work really smart as a team. It seems The Revival look for the big moves at times and it cost them. They can’t always pick up wins on them and then they get flustered. The Usos are the ones who fight until the end that’s what they did tonight. Jey outsmarted them and capitalized and The Usos could be on their way to gold very soon.
Backstage Segment:
The Miz heads to the ring for Miz TV.
In Ring Segment:
Miz says his guest is at the center of the most exciting title chase in WWE. He then welcomes Carmella and R-Truth. Miz tells Truth to relax because the 24/7 Championship rules will be suspended during this interview. Miz says it has been a little over a month since the 24/7 title has come into existence. He says he hasn’t been able to eat, drink, or be married. He tells he can’t go get groceries or go on picnics. He says he even has superstars showing up at his house dressed as police telling him to turn his music down or that his car is on fire, but he’s smarter than that. Carmella says Truth is just trying to chase that title. Drake Maverick comes out and says winning the title was the biggest moment of his career. His wedding was supposed to be the biggest day of his life but Truth ruined it. He says his wife won’t talk to him, go on a honeymoon, or consummate the marriage. Maverick asks Truth for a rematch right here so he can win back the love of his life. Carmella tells Truth he’s just trying to win back the love of his life. Maverick says no I’m talking about the title. Miz informs that if the match is accepted all other competitors are banned. Truth says you know what Hornswoggle you got your match. Miz says the match will happen next!
My Opinion:
This was a hilarious segment. Truth has done so well with this title and has made it one of the biggest things in WWE. He is so funny and someone like Drake Maverick has done so well in complimenting him and creating that magic chemistry. I hope they continue to battle for the title for months to come because there’s so much funny stuff they could do. Either way, this 24/7 title has been a great addition and I’ve loved it.
Match 2: R-Truth vs Drake Maverick: 24/7 Title Match
Drake goes after Truth but Truth comes back. Truth plants Maverick and gets the 1 2 3 and retains.
After the match superstars rush the ring trying to get to Truth. They try to get to Truth but no one can pin him after a failed pin attempt by Cedric Alexander. The wrestlers fight each other and it allows Truth and Carmella to run away through the crowd. Drake Maverick is then asked by Charly where he goes from here. Maverick has no answer. He then starts crying after she asks if there is anything he can say right now.
Winner: R-Truth: Still 24/7 Champion
My Opinion:
This was a very quick match but Truth got the title and was able to run away. I love the chase that’s on and I’m sure we’ll see more of this tomorrow. Although Drake Maverick is down I’m sure he isn’t out and will come up with something to try to get that title back. I’m very excited to see what they do next as it always delivers!

He tees off on Mcintyre in the corner and then sends him to the floor. Undertaker then sends Shane to the outside.
Winner: No Contest
My Opinion:
Holy crap! I did not see that coming at all, I was very shocked to see this but dang that was awesome! That’s the element of surprise right there and it was so cool. Taker still has it and came and defended Reigns and saved him from something that could’ve gotten very ugly. Reigns needed that help and I’m shocked it was Taker but I’m glad it was! Taker is no stranger to Shane and Reigns but I guess the battle lines have been drawn and we see he stands with the Big Dog. I can’t wait to see where this goes!
In Ring Segment: Braun Strowman & Bobby Lashley: Tug of War Contest
The contest is underway and Lashley is able to pull Strowman almost across the line. Strowman looks up at Lashley and pulls him across the line but it causes Lashley to run into him and Lashley attacks him. Lashley attacks him in the corner and then uses the rope to punish Strowman raking is across his eyes. Lashley goes to the outside and runs toward Strowman but Strowman knocks him down with a shoulder tackle. Lashley gets up and sends Strowman into the barricade.
My Opinion:
Well, the rivalry continues between these two and it’s obvious Lashley is out to prove he is the monster in WWE. he got the upper hand tonight even though he lost the tug of war. I really would like to see these guys have a big blow out at Extreme Rules and settle this thing. Strowman definitely is going to come after Lashley after this attack tonight.
Backstage Segment:
Charly asks AJ how he is feeling. AJ says he is ready to get back into the ring and ready to go. Charly asks why pick Ricochet on your return. AJ says he sat at home and is ready to battle the best. AJ asks what they’re doing and asks they don’t they have a match against the Viking Raiders. Anderson says they are on the top of their game. Styles asks where the Gallows and Anderson are that he met in Japan, the ones who were going to take over, the ones who were Raw Tag Team Champions. Gallows tells him we’ll show you.
Match 4: Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs The Viking Raiders

Erik gets to his feet and hits Gallows with an elbow to the gut. Gallows is able to knock him down and then hit Ivar. Anderson gets the tag and he and Gallows hit the boot of doom. Anderson goes for the cover but can’t get the three. Anderson then tees off with big right hands. Anderson gloats and it allows Erik to hit him with a right hand. Ivar comes in and knocks down Anderson before knocking down Gallows. Anderson tries to fight back but is sent to the outside. Ivar then launches himself through the ropes to take out Gallows. Erik comes in and he and Ivar double team Anderson and plant him on the mat. Erik goes for the cover and gets the 1 2 3.
Winners: The Viking Raiders
My Opinion:
Anderson and gallows looked so good in this match but once Anderson gloated they fell apart. With a team like the Viking Raiders, you have to stay on them because they will get back into it faster then they were down. They fought hard and one The Good Brother’s gave them that opening it was over. They overpowered them and outperformed them in the end. Anderson and Gallows have to go back to being ruthless and finish the job before they celebrate. Either way, this is a big win for The Viking Raider’s and I hope they can get a shot at the titles at some point.

EC3 trips up Cedric and pins him to win the title. Carmella then distracts him as she takes the title. Ec3 follows her up the ramp and it allows Truth to pin him and win the title back. R-Truth is still the 24/7 Champion.
My Opinion:
This was a lot of chaos but of course, it was supposed to show how crazy things can get with the 24/7 title. Things definitely can get crazy but at the end of all this Truth walked out champion and now has to continue to run. Truth really needs to thank Carnella as she has his back and has helped him so much in this chase. Hopefully, Truth has an easier night tomorrow because he came so close to losing the title tonight.

He says tonight he gets to face one of the guys he looks up to and he is going to prove he is worthy of being champion.

Charly asks Kofi what he makes of this remarkable journey but before he can answer Sami Zayn’s music hits and here comes Zayn and Owens. Zayn tells Charly not to waste time with softball journalism. Owens and Zayn say they have questions of their own. First question why is he here, two who does he think he is, three why doesn’t he just get the hell out of here. Kofi makes fun of Owens zit on his face, Zayn asks why he is a paper champion and why he gets helped from his friends. He then reminds that he and Owens beat Woods and Big E. Zayn asks him why he uses his friends. Kofi says when it comes to him, Xavier, and Big E it’s a brotherhood and bond no one can break. Kofi says he has won matches on his own like at Money In The Bank, and last night at Stomping Grounds, and just like tonight when he beats Zayn all by himself. He says he is tired of hearing Zayn talk and tells him to come in the ring and catch another Trouble In Paradise kick courtesy of the WWE Champion. He says let’s start the match right here, right now.
My Opinion:
Kofi is a true champion and has proven to be a fighting champion. He has done everything he said he would and it’s been an amazing ride for him since Mania. It seems more Zayn and Owens are jealous of Kofi and tries to get under his skin but again action speak louder than words and Kofi proves their words to be false. Kofi continues to be the model champion and never lets anyone talk him or his accomplishments down.

Zayn places Kofi on the top rope but Kofi fights back with right after right. Kofi flies but has to land on his feet. Zayn hits the Michinoku driver but it’s not enough to put Kofi away. Kofi fights back and both men go down in the middle of the ring. Kofi is sent to the apron. Kofi flies but is met with a boot. Zayn goes for the cover but can’t get the three. Kofi is able to slide down the back of Zayn and turn it into a cover. Kofi gets the 1 2 3.
*** after the match Owens tells Kofi he doesn’t believe he is as great of a champion as he says. He tells him if he wants to prove it come back in the ring and face him right now. Kingston heads to the ring as Raw goes to break.
Winner: Kofi Kingston
This was a great battle between these two and honestly, you have to give credit to Sami Zayn as he really took it to Kofi. Kofi didn’t get that beautiful definitive victory but he still won. When you’re the champ it comes down to getting the job done and that’s what he did. I think Zayn did well in studying Kofi and he had a counter for everything it seemed. Kofi gave him his best shots but ultimately had to crafty to win. Not every night is gonna be perfect but nonetheless, Kofi got the w.
Match 6: Kofi Kingston vs Kevin Owens
Owens and Kofi start off hot and Owens gets an early advantage with a big kick. Owens tries a cover but Kofi kicks out. *** After the match Samoa Joe attacks Kofi from behind. He then throws Kofi into the screens on the stage. Joe finishes him off with a Uranage on the stage. Kofi is helped by officials but Joe comes back out and locks in the Coquina Clutch.
Winner: Kofi Kingston
My Opinion:
Kofi proved a lot tonight winning two matches. Owens tried to capitalize on Kofi being worn out but still, Kofi found a way to get it done. He risked a lot having two matches but there is no doubt he proved he is a fighting champion and that’s a champion to respect. After the match, Samoa Joe got the better of him. Joe was relentless and made a statement tonight. I’d love to see this match and honestly, for Kofi it’d be his toughest match to date as champion. This would a huge opportunity for Joe but also for Kingston to prove himself against someone as deadly as Joe.
*** Roman Reigns & Undertaker will face Shane McMahon & Drew Mcintyre at Extreme Rules
Match 7: Naomi vs Alexa Bliss w/ Nikki Cross
Naomi hits Bliss with a big kick. She continues with big strikes but Bliss comes back with a clothesline. Bliss slams her down to the mat using her hair and tries a cover but can’t get the three. Naomi gets back into it and pulls Bliss down to the mat. Naomi hits the split but it isn’t able to put Bliss away. Bliss goes to the outside. Naomi accidentally hits Cross instead of Bliss. This allows Bliss to spike Naomi and get the 1 2 3 on the cover.
*** After the match Bliss attacks Naomi. She tells Cross to attack her but Cross is hesitant. Natalya comes out to back off Cross and Bliss.
Winner: Alexa Bliss
My Opinion:
This was a short match but Naomi seemed to cost herself in this one. Naomi felt bad for hitting Cross but when you’re in a match you have to just keep going. Bliss took advantage and got the job done. The match could have been longer but bliss proved a big point she can get the job done. It looks like Bliss is looking for Cross to do her dirty work but Cross seems so hesitant on this. Cross used to be such an edgy character but now it seems she has softened up.
Match 8: Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross vs Naomi & Natalya
Naomi gets quick control of Cross and brings her to the corner. Natalya comes in and takes down Cross. Cross fight back with strikes to the gut and then jumps on the back of Natalya. Natalya flings her to the mat and hits her with a big clothesline. Natalya goes for the cover but can’t get the three. Cross fights back and tags Bliss. Bliss tries the cover but can’t get the three. Bliss then goes to a chin lock. Natalya is able to get to her feet and slam Bliss to the mat. Natalya goes for the cover but can’t put her away, Natalya hits a suplex and follows with another. Bliss fights out of a sharpshooter and tags Cross. Cross drives Natalya into Naomi. Cross then hits a running bulldog. Cross goes for the cover but can’t get the three. Cross hits Natalya with her shoulder and after getting her down she goes to the top rope. Cross hits a crossbody and covers Natalya for a two count. Natalya drives cross into the corner and it allows Bliss to tag in. Cross hits her with a neck breaker and it allows Bliss to pick up the victory.
Winners: Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross
My Opinion:
This was a big win for Bliss and Cross. Cross did do a lot of the work but it proved that she has a lot to give. Cross is someone who could be a huge star and obviously, she can get the job done. Bliss comes in and picked off the victory off of Cross’s work but it is what it is because a win is a win. Maybe Cross and Bliss could have another shot at the tag titles at some point and actually win them. They seem to work well together and if Cross could go back to being a heal this team would be amazing!

Styles floors him with a clothesline after a series of strikes but Ricochet kicks out. Ricochet hits Styles with chops in the corner. He turns Styles inside out and then hits a springboard moonsault off the second rope. Ricochet goes for the cover but Styles kicks out. Ricochet goes up top and flies but misses on the 630. Styles catches Ricochet and is able to hit the Phenomenal Forearm. Styles pins him and gets the 1 2 3.
*** after the match Styles raises the hand of Ricochet.
Winner: AJ Styles
My Opinion:
Wow, what a match! This is a huge statement for Styles and showed why he is arguably the best in the world today. Ricochet took him to the limit but the veteran Styles weathered the storm and was able to capitalize and put him away. We know Styles as more of a mina enter now but he was a great U.S. champ at one point so it stands for reason he might be coming back. I’d love to see this match again because it could’ve gone either way and it was awesome!
Final Thoughts:
This Raw was awesome, the flow was so good, we had so muhc wrestling, there was shock value, there were funny moments, and it just delivered. First, the surprise return of The Undertaker was awesome and I don’t think anyone saw that coming. Plus, he’s gonna team with Reigns to take on Shane and Mcintyre which is huge. This could finally get Reigns away from them and on to bigger things. He has one heck of a partner to finally put a stop to these two. I thought Kofi Kingston proved a lot tonight picking up two big victories. He is a fighting champion and is making the WWE Universe proud. I loved Samoa Joe coming out and attacking him as well. I think Joe is the perfect guy for Kofi to face as it’ll be a true test of what Kofi can do. I really enjoyed the 24/7 title shenanigans, all of the stuff with that title has been so funny and tonight it delivered again. The opening tonight was awesome as well with Rollins and Lynch standing tall together. I love that they’re gonna team up because it’s a great way to end their respective rivalries with Corbin and Evans. Finally, the main event was sick! These two battled and battled and gave each other all they got. I loved this one and I hope we see it again, I have a feeling we will because after that huge win Styles has to be in line for a title match. Either way, it was awesome and Ricochet proved he can hang with the best. We got great matches, funny segments, and the hype for Extreme Rules is real. That’s looking like it’ll be an amazing PPV! Overall this was a really good show and I hope every week continues on like this!!!
Overall Rating: 7/10
