Fantasy Booking – Kevin Owens Universal Title Reign

First off I’d like to say lack of interest in Kevin Owens title reign is not his fault! He is booked weak with the focus mainly on his friendship with Jericho, but he still makes the best out his reign. He is very charismatic and before WWE just gives the title back to Roman here is how we’re gonna fix his reign.

Kevin needs to make up for lost time so we have to make him look strong as soon as possible. Here’s how we start. For the next two weeks on Monday Night RAW Kevin should pickup two clean wins over Big Show and then Sheamus, two established stars. This will help with his credibility. So Roadblock comes along and of course Kevin needs to win clean, not only that, but he needs to do it in convincing fashion. I won’t say have Kevin pin Roman in 85 seconds but Roman needs to get very little offense in. Much like Brock Lesnar vs John Cena Summerslam 2014.

The next night on RAW we should see Kevin Owens make his claim that since he beat Roman Reigns he should have a title opportunity for the U.S Title. So again Kevin Owens beats Reigns, but in a segment before the match we can see Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho talking. Kevin can go on to proclaim he never needed Chris and this will create tension. Anyways, Owens wins the title later that night. Setting up this match for the Royal Rumble: Kevin Owens vs Seth Rollins vs Chris Jericho vs Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal and United States Championships. I don’t mind the idea of Triple H  screwing Seth out of the title here, but that should not be how Owens retains. I’d say Jericho takes the pin from Owens via low blow and a pop up powerbomb. Later in the night we see Finn Balor come off injury and win the Royal Rumble. If there is a PPV in between the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania 33 I could see Kevin vs Jericho main eventing that PPV and Kevin retaining. This would lead to Jericho provoking Balor to put up his spot at Wresltemania and if Jericho wins it becomes a triple threat and Jericho should win.

The main event will be Chris Jericho vs Finn Balor vs Kevin Owens for the Universal and United States Championship. Kevin should retain here, but drop the Universal Title at the next PPV to Finn Balor and drop the United States title that next night on RAW to someone like Cesaro or even Neville. WWE shouldnt go with the same basic thing at Wresltemania 33. In the past 4 Wrestlemania’s the WWE championship has changed hands and Kevin Owens should change that cycle. WWE needs to build more stars as Cena,Orton,etc get older and do that we need more 250+ day title reigns, things we can remember and Kevin can start this year.
