In-Ring Segment: Brock Lesnar w/ Paul Heyman
Heyman introduces himself and Brock Lesnar. He then says he is sorry, he can’t do it. He says it’s their job to come out here and hype WrestleMania. He says although this top to bottom is one of the most stacked WrestleMania’s in decades the main event is a sham. He tells how they want to sell everyone on Drew Mcintyre but Drew Mcintyre is a hyped-up fraud. He then examines why everyone cheers so much for Drew Mcintyre. He tells how at the Royal Rumble Brock Lesnar massacred 15 consecutive top stars in World Wrestling Entertainment only to be hit in the testicles by Ricochet and vulnerable to Drew Mcintyre who kicked him and knocked him over the top rope eliminating him from the match. He continues to call the crowd Pavlovian Dogs for cheering. He says they hold no excuses but asks how eliminating Brock Lesnar proves Drew Mcintyre can pin or submit Brock Lesnar. He says the next time Brock Lesnar lays his hands on Drew Mcintyre it’s over like that because Drew Mcintyre is nothing but a stupid big bitch that is going to get squashed. Here comes Drew Mcintyre!
Mcintyre makes his way into the ring and comes face to face with Lesnar. Lesnar smiles and laughs at him as he points to the WWE Championship. Lesnar then goes to leave the ring but comes at Mcintyre. Mcintyre then lays him out with a Claymore Kick! Mcintyre then leaves the ring. Lesnar gets up and makes his way out of the ring and up the ramp. Mcintyre comes back out and hits him with another Claymore! He then holds up the WWE Championship. Lesnar gets to his feet and Mcintyre hits him with one more Claymore!
My Opinion:
Mcintyre made a statement tonight! He has fired the first shot and now we are officially on the road to our WrestleMania main event. Mcintyre showed what he is capable of and showed Lesnar he is not afraid. Mcintyre is here to win the WWE Championship and you can feel his desire to win the championship! Of course, this will anger Lesnar but Mcintyre has to be prepared to stay on the offense and keep Lesnar battling back all the way until Mania. This is going to be one heck of a match between these two and there is no doubt it will be more like a fight!
Match 1: The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) vs Murphy & Seth Rollins (c) w/AOP: Raw Tag Team Championships Match
*** Before the match, Ford tells how tonight is now or never. He says he and Dawkins have been working for years to get this spot and this opportunity for the Raw Tag Team Championships. Dawkins tells how when the pressure is on, they cook. Ford says the Street Profits are getting the 1 2 3 because “the Street Profits are up and we want the smoke”.
Before the bell officially rings the two teams go at it. Ford tries to take out Rollins and Murphy on the outside but he is caught and driven into the barricade. Dawkins then checks on Ford.
Dawkins starts off the match hot against Murphy. Murphy fights back and gets Dawkins into his and Rollins corner. Dawkins is hit with a kick on the second turnbuckle and then thrown to the mat. Rollins tags in and stays on Dawkins. He tries a cover but Dawkins kicks out. Rollins toys with Dawkins but Dawkins gets to his feet to deliver a big right hand. Rollins tags Murphy and again they double team, Dawkins. Murphy goes for the cover but Dawkins is able to kick out. Murphy tries another cover but again Dawkins kicks out. Murphy now goes to a chin lock and keeps control on the mat. Dawkins tries to break the hold but Murphy continues to beat him down. Murphy then throws Dawkins to the floor. Dawkins fights back and sends Rollins face-first into the floor. Dawkins then throws Murphy into the barricade. Dawkins gets back in the ring and tags Ford. Ford flies over the ropes and this time takes out Rollins and Murphy. Back in the ring, Ford lands a big crossbody taking both men down again. Murphy is sent to the floor and Ford then hits Rollins with a DDT. He hits a standing moonsault and covers Rollins but Rollins kicks out. Rollins fights back with a sling blade. He then misses on the Stomp but tags Murphy. Rollins comes back and hits the buckle bomb. Murphy comes in to cover but Dawkins breaks it up. Dawkins grabs Rollins but Murphy saves him. Rollins and Murphy then send Dawkins into the ring post. Rollins tags in and looks for another buckle bomb but Ford hits a hurricanranna and Rollins goes into the corner and is hit by Murphy. Murphy is sent to the floor. Rollins tries to steal one but Ford is able to take him down. Ford goes to the top but Rollins gets up and pushes him down to the floor. AOP then comes down the ramp as Rollins distracts the ref. The ref turns around and sees AOP. He then sends them to the back. Owens comes in and hits Rollins with a Stunner while the ref is distracted. Dawkins takes care of Murphy on the floor as AOP chases Owens. Ford then hits Rollins with the frog splash. He covers and gets the 1 2 3! The Street Profits are new Raw Tag Team Champions!!!
Winners: The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford): New Raw Tag Team Champions
My Opinion:
Congratulations to the Street Profits on this monumental victory! They fought hard in this match and have fought hard ever since they got to Raw and to the WWE for that matter. It’s awesome to see it pay off for them! Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire and luckily for Ford and Dawkins, Owens had their back tonight! I think the Street Profits will make great champions and no matter how short to long they hold these titles they will make their mark! They are a team that can run with opportunity and I’m excited to see them feud with more teams going forward!
Backstage Segment: Seth Rollins & Murphy
Charly asks for Rollins reactions for losing to losing the tag titles to the Street Profits. He says he said anyone who stands in his way will be eradicated. He says he is the Monday Night Messiah and he doesn’t ask he demands so at Elimination Chamber they are taking on the Street Profits, taking down the Street Profits, and taking back their Raw Tag Team Championships. He says as for Kevin Owens he can name the time and place and the stipulation because when he gets his hands on Kevin Owens he will be crucified.
Match 2: Ricochet vs Riddick Moss (c): 24/7 Championship Match:
Normal 24/7 Championship Rules Suspended During The Match
Ricochet is able to get the early advantage and take it to Moss in the corner. Moss comes back with a big clothesline off the ropes. Moss takes it to Ricochet in the corner. He then hits him in the back and Ricochet goes down to the mat. Moss stays on him and keeps Ricochet down. Moss hits him in the gut and taunts the crowd. As Raw returns, Ricochet tries to fight off Moss but again he sends him to the mat. Moss sends Ricochet to the ropes but Ricochet finally creates separation with a dropkick. Moss looks for a big right but Ricochet fights him off and takes him down. Moss goes to the corner and Ricochet hits a shoulder to the gut. He then hits a big kick. He comes off the top but Moss avoids him. Moss goes up top but Ricochet stops him and sends him down to the mat. Ricochet hits the standing shooting star and covers but Moss kicks out. Moss is able to fight him off for a moment but Ricochet comes back with a forearm. Ricochet tries to pick up Moss but Moss fights it off and hits him with an elbow. Ricochet comes back with an enziguri. He goes for a superkick but Moss stops him. He then drives Ricochet down to the mat. Moss then hits a modified neck breaker and covers for the 1 2 3.
Winner: Riddick Moss: Still 24/7 Champion
My Opinion:
Ricochet didn’t look so good in that one. Moss seemed in control the whole time even when Ricochet was on the offensive. This is a huge win for Moss but Ricochet just seemed out of it tonight and unfortunately, a big loss can send you in a downward spiral. Hopefully, Ricochet can bounce back and be the person everyone knows he can be in the ring. He still has big things in his future but has to fight out of this rut. For Moss, he is doing well as the champion and wins like this help not only prove dominance as a champion but as a Superstar on Raw.

He then brings up a video of Mark Wahlberg trying to give him advice. He then shows the clip of Wahlberk telling him to walk away. He says he should be out here celebrating but instead, he is getting advice from Marky Mark. Styles tells Mark he is not going to take his stupid advice because it seems like to him he is on a collision course with The Undertaker. He tells Taker to watch when he does to Aleister Black and consider it a warning. He tells that Undertaker is trying to hold on to the spotlight that isn’t his anymore, it’s AJ Styles.
Match 3: Karl Anderson w/ The O.C. (AJ Styles & Luke Gallows) vs Aleister Black
*** Before the match, Styles tells Black he is going to get his fight but you didn’t read the contract that if you want to get to Aj Styles you have to go through the toughest man in the building, Karl Anderson.
The match begins and Black gets on the offensive. He sends Anderson to the floor. He takes down Gallows and then hits Anderson with a big kick. Black then stares down Styles as Raw goes to break.
As Raw returns, Anderson has Black in a chin lock on the mat. Black works to his feet but Anderson stays in control and hits a spinebuster. Anderson covers but Black kicks out. Anderson goes back to the chin lock and keeps Black grounded on the mat. Black works to a vertical base and again tries to fight back but Anderson stays on him. Black now hits a back elbow and is able to knock Anderson down off the ropes. Black now hits a series of strikes before connecting with a moonsault from the middle rope. Black then hits Black Mass out of nowhere. He covers and gets the 1 2 3.
*** After the match, Styles says in the contract it says if he beats Karl Anderson which he has, to get to him he still has to go through Luke Gallows. Gallows then attacks him from behind and sends him to the outside. He stays on him and sends him into the steps. Gallows then drives him into the barricade.
Winner: Aleister Black
Match 4: Luke Gallows w/ The O.C. (AJ Styles & Karl Anderson) vs Aleister Black
This match begins as Gallows runs at Black. Black connects with a strike and comes back with big kicks to the body. Gallows fights back with a boot of his own. Black hits Styles again and is able to mount a comeback. Styles stomps him quickly with a backbreaker. Styles hits a brainbuster and is in control. Styles goes for the Phenomenal Forearm and connects. He then pins Black as Undertaker pins his and gets the 1 2 3.
Winner: AJ Styles
My Opinion:
First, you have to give it up for Aleister Black for the fight he brought tonight. The odds were stacked against him and even when he was down he continued to fight. Black is a warrior and proved such tonight. Hopefully, when he does get his hands on Styles he makes the most of it and uses it as his opportunity to break out and shine.
For AJ Styles, he is barking up the wrong tree mocking and taking The Undertaker lightly. However, Styles has numbers on his side and he is going to be a tough opponent for Taker at Mania. I think for Styles the thing he needs to do over the next month is proving to himself why he is Phenomenal. If he forgets just what made him who is he could get run over at Mania. If Styles can get in the head of Taker which isn’t easy to do at all but if he can get the advantage and potentially go on to pick up one of the biggest wins in his career. Now that Taker has lost at Mania there is really no telling who will win this but Styles has a long road ahead and I’m sure soon Taker will come to Raw to come face to face with the Phenomenal One.
Backstage Segment: Ruby Riott
Charly tells Ruby before we get to the interview let’s take a look at what happened several weeks ago. Charly then asks Ruby if people would have predicted their group would have split up like they did. Ruby says people break promises each day and the only person she is loyal to is herself. She strikes when she damn well pleases and this Sunday there are no friends in the Elimination Chamber.
Backstage Segment:

Riott comes back and hits the flatliner. She covers but Riott kicks out. Riott accidentally hits Logan on the kick. Riott then blindsides Morgan and lays her out. She covers but again Morgan kicks out. Riott then pushes Logan as the two argue. Morgan rolls up Riott for the cover and Logan gives her the fast count and the win.
*** After the match, Logan goes after Riott and Morgan helps out. Morgan is then hit by Logan who stands tall as both women are down.
Winner: Liv Morgan
My Opinion:
Morgan and Riott really went after each other tonight but the bigger picture was this is every woman for themselves. These three once best friends are now out for their own interests and this Sunday I’m sure they will come to blows in a big way. The only thing they have to remember is not to let the rivalry get in the way of the task at hand. Morgan and Riott seem like they want to get at each other so badly they could forget about the other women in this match. This is going to be one combustible Chamber match!
Backstage Segment: Randy Orton
Randy Orton is seen standing alone in a dimly lit corner.
Backstage Segment: No Way Jose & Erick Rowan
No Way Jose walks with his conga line and comes up on Erick Rowan. He asks him if they can please see what’s in that cage. Rowan asks do you wanna see? Jose says yeah we wanna see. Baszler kicks Sane and stops her. Baszler meets her up there and hits her with a gut wrench suplex. She covers but Sane kicks out. Baszler now kicks Sane. She comes off the ropes but is met with a spear from Sane. Sane goes up top and flies but she is hit with a big kick. Baszler locks in the Kirifuda Clutch and Sane taps out.
*** After the match, Baszler grabs Sane and locks in the Kirifuda Clutch again. Shayna then smiles as she exits the ring.
Winner: Shayna Baszler
My Opinion:
This turned out to be a decent match between these two, I really thought Baszler would go out there with more force and run over Sane but she took her time and allowed Sane to stay in this one. I don’t think Sane ever had a chance but Baszler played smart mind games showing that the match is over before it begins and she’ll end it when she pleases. Baszler is the one person in the Elimination Chamber Match that no matter where she enters she has a chance. I’ll be looking to Shayna run through everyone on Sunday and prove exactly why she can be the most dangerous woman to Becky Lynch’s Championship.
Backstage Segment: Rey Mysterio & Humberto Carrillo
Sarah Schreiber welcomes Rey Mysterio and Humberto Carrillo. She asks them how their rivalry will end. Mysterio says Humberto is the kind of competitor that no matter how many times you take him down he keeps getting back up even against his own blood. Mysterio says this whole thing will end when and how they want it to end.
Match 8: Humberto Carrillo & Rey Mysterio vs Angel Garza & Andrade w/ Zelina Vega
Carrillo goes after Andrade but Andrade quickly goes to the floor. Mysterio tries to surprise Garza but he is caught and sent into the barricade. Andrade then sends Carrillo into the barricade. As Raw returns, Carrillo tries to fight off Andrade and creates space. Carrillo goes to the apron and fights off Andrade. Garza then takes a cheap shot and Carrillo is driven into the apron. Garza now wrenches on the arms of Carrillo as he has him in an abdominal stretch. Carrillo finally fights him off and looks for a tag but Garza grabs his foot. Carrillo lands an enziguri and takes him down. Mysterio and Andrade get the tags. Mysterio hits a seated senton. He takes down Andrade and then connects with a huge DDT. He covers but Andrade kicks out. Mysterio is hit with an elbow. Mysterio continues to fight and tags Carrillo. Andrade is taken out and then, Garza. Carrillo flies to the outside looking to hit Andrade but he is able to get out of the way. Carrillo crashes into the barricade as Raw goes to break.
As Raw returns, Andrade falls to the floor. He is able to make it back in the ring and tag Garza. Mysterio also gets the tag and takes down Garza sending him into the ropes. He then knocks Andrade to the floor. Mysterio goes for the 619 but he is caught and dropped by Garza. Garza goes for the cover but Mysterio kicks out. Mysterio hits the Canadian Destroyer and covers but Andrade breaks up the cover. Andrade now in the match looks for the suplex and hits. He then hits one more but Mysterio fights out of the third. Carrillo tags in and hits a huge dropkick. He then hits a big moonsault and pins Andrade but he kicks out. Carrillo goes up top but Andrade is able to stop him. Carrillo is caught in the corner and Andrade hits him with double knees. Garza now tries to attack Mysterio but Mysterio sends him into the ropes. He then sends Andrade into the ropes and hits the double 619. Mysterio takes out Garza on the floor. Carrillo then hits the moonsault and pins Andrade for the 1 2 3.
Winners: Humberto Carrillo & Rey Mysterio
My Opinion:
What a match between these two teams! This was a high flying, hard-hitting, back and forth contest and it delivered as expected. These four men know each other so well and it showed the way they battled in there. Mysterio and Carrillo get a huge victory but this one seems far from over. There is a lot of bad blood here and Andrade and Garza seem like they will want retribution. However, it’ll be interesting to see if Garza and Andrade will still be on good terms after losing this one. They worked well together but seemed like they couldn’t figure out how to put a lot of big moves in sequence to end this one.
Backstage Segment: Beth Phoenix
Phoenix walks to the ring as she is here to give a medical update on Edge, live, next!
Elimination Chamber News:
*** The Street Profits will defend the Raw Tag Team Championships against Seth Rollins & Murphy.
*** Aleister Black will face AJ Styles in a No DQ Match
In-Ring Segment: Beth Phoenix
Beth says she appreciates being given this time tonight here on Raw and she is here tonight to give a medical update on her husband Edge. Here comes Randy Orton.
Orton makes his way into the ring and goes to hug Phoenix but she stops him. He then extends his hand for a handshake. Phoenix calls him a son of a bitch and asks him if he thinks she would hug or shake his hand after what he did to her husband. Orton then goes and sits on the top turnbuckle. Phoenix says she thought she would see him here tonight and if anyone needs to hear this it’s him. She says she is here as a wife because she needs her husband, and she is here as a mother because her children need their father. She says maybe there are possibilities that we can… she stops as Orton comes off the ropes. Orton says there are no possibilities, it is a certainty that after what he did to Edge, Edge will never wrestle again.
Orton then says he owes Beth an explanation and he is going to give one. Orton says back in 1999 in October he believes WWE had a live event in ST. Louis where he lives. He says his dad took him to the show because he wanted to break into the business. He says at this point he was just a fan but to be backstage and see the likes of Austin, H, Foley, Davey Boy Smith but the one who came up to show his father respect was Edge. He tells how Edge told his dad Cowboy Bob Orton and told him how he was one of the reasons he got into the business. He then tells how Edge shook his hand and told him good luck into getting into the business and maybe one day they can do business in the ring. Orton then tells how a few years after that they were tearing it up all over the world. Then they went on to tear it up with Rated RKO. He then tells how after that he hit a wall and dug a hole he should’ve been buried in but Edge pulled him up.
He tells how Edge saved his life and allowed him to go on to be a father to his kids. He says what he did for Edge was save his life. He tells how the crowd went crazy for Edge but it wasn’t a runoff because the next night he realized Edge thought he was back for good and competed on a nightly basis and he knew someone would try to make a name at Edge’s expense. He says he did it for their kids, he did it because he loves Edge, he loves Beth, and he loves their two little girls. Orton then tells how everyone blames him for what he did to Edge. He then says what he did was Beth’s fault. He says Beth was an enabler. He says Edge is a junkie for the roar of the crowd but Beth did nothing to stop it so he had to step in and he did what he did so Edge could go on to be a husband and be a father. Orton says when he says that out loud he realizes he loves Beth’s girls and Edge more than she ever could. He then says truth hurts, doesn’t it. Phoenix then slaps him. Orton then calls her a bitch. Phoenix kicks him but Orton lays her out with an RKO. Orton heads up the ramp as officials come out to check on her.
The announcer’s come on and Byron says Beth is right Randy is a son of a bitch for what he just did. King says he agrees. Phillips adds that this was horrific. The ring starts to fill with superstars checking on her.
My Opinion:
Wow, what an ending. First, hopefully, Beth is okay. Orton didn’t need to do that to her but it was accepted once she provoked him as Orton has never taken kindly to that and doesn’t care who he hurts. You know Edge was watching that one and wishing he could get to Raw that second but now he has a true reason to comeback. Before he was coming back for Orton trying to retire him again but now he is fighting for two loves, his wife and wrestling. The clash between these two is going to be intense and one of the best we have seen in recent times. I’m so excited for this one and that second his music hits and he returns that roof is going to come off whatever building they’re in.
Final Thoughts:
Tonight the show was decent for the most part but I have to give it a high rating because that was one of the better endings we have seen in quite some time. Of course, it is not okay what Orton did to Phoenix but that cliffhanger of what will happen next is awesome. This story has taken on a life of its own and when Edge comes back it is going to be insane! I enjoyed the hot start tonight with Mcintyre taking the first shot and laying out Lesnar not once, not twice, but three times! He made his statement loud and clear and I’m very interested to see how Lesnar will react to being embarrassed like that. It’s going to be an amazing build to this match and when they finally meet in April it will be war between them! I was super happy to see the Street Profits win the tag titles, they deserve it and will make the most of the opportunity! I hope they are able to keep them for a while and have a special match at WrestleMania! Sticking with championships, props to Riddick Moss for a successful title defense and a huge win over the accomplished Ricochet.
Also, I liked the start of the build for Styles and Undertaker at Mania, this is going to be an epic sight to see these two go at it in April! Another thing that happened tonight was that we finally saw what was in Rowan’s cage. I really hope a mechanical tarantula isn’t what we’ve been waiting all this time for or that’s going to be a big let down. On another note, the build-up for the Woman’s Elimination Chamber Match was okay but it could have been better. Right now Shayna seems like the only one focused and is the odds on favorite. Plus, we didn’t even get to see Natalya and it just already feels like we have our winner in this match but we will see. In the final match of the night, we say the big tag team clash between Mysterio, Carrillo and Garza, Andrade. This match delivered and was as awesome as it was drawn up to be! I hope we see this one again sometime in the near future! Finally, I hope everyone enjoys the Elimination Chamber this Sunday as it is the last PPV before WrestleMania!
Overall Rating: 6.5/10
