RAW REVIEW 05/17/2016
(1/11) The Club and The Bloodline Segment:
AJ came out talking about how he is sick and tired of people call him a liar yet he the screen does not show that, and instead shows people excited for him and the club being in WWE, he then looked confused and then Roman out. They had a heated argument as their partners then came, as the segment ended with Roman and the Usos in the ring, standing tall as Styles tries to go at them but the Club are holding him back.
Pros and Cons (0-3):
Pros: N/A
Cons:
- Segment established nothing.
- They all looked confused
- It was very sloppy
Crowd Engagement:
Huge pop for AJ as always.
Roman got booed as always.
Rating: 6/10
(2/11) Cesaro VS Sami Zayn:
Match barely even begun, with a sloppy start of Sami giving Cesaro some sort of hurricanrana leaving Cesaro out of the ring, Owens and Miz who were on commentary started to brawl, and then came out Shane turning it into a 2 on 2 tag match with Cesaro and Sami on one side against Miz and Owens on the other. Steph came out as well to switch up the teams to make it even more interesting as Owens will have to team up with Zayn and Cesaro would be with Miz. It is really interesting to see Sami and KO team up, as KO can’t walk away otherwise he won’t be in the fatal 4 way. It seemed that KO was a face whenever he was in the ring with Miz. The team of Sami and KO won; KO super kicked Sami afterwards.
Pros and Cons (3-1):
Pros:
- It was a very exciting match.
- Interesting to see on both sides that a face and a heel are teaming up.
- Good way to end the match.
Cons:
Crowd Engagement:
very engaged. They loved everyone but Miz.
Rating: 9.5/10
(3/11) Shining Stars:
They face local competitors and beat them.

Pros:
- Epico showed off some impressive moves.
Cons:

- Great chemistry between the two when performing together.
Cons: N/A
Crowd Engagement:
Pretty Engaged.
Rating: 10/10
(5/11) Becky Lynch VS Dana Brooke:
Dana Brooke won the match. Good debut for her.
Pros and Cons (2-1):
Pros:
- Solid match
- Built the rivalry even more
Cons:
- Sure it was a solid match but not that entertaining.
Crowd Engagement:
Barely engaged.
Rating: 6/10
(6/11) Golden Truth VS Breeze and Fandango:
Golden Truth lost because of R Truth accidentally hitting Goldust.
Pros and Cons (1-1):
Pros:
- Their first match and they lose. This would be a con but good and interesting way to see them build up later on
Cons:
Crowd Engagement:
I would say fairly engaged. They loved Golden Truth.
Rating: 7.75/10
(7/11) The New Day and their Time Machine:
They had an interesting promo as they went into this so called time machine. Kofi’s old theme hit and he came out of the machine but was pulled back in because they were not int he Bygon era. They then “entered” it, as Simon Gotch and Aiden English came and beat them up.
Pros and Cons (3-0):
Pros:
- This segment was pretty exciting.
- Good way to build up their rivalry even more.
- Interesting
Cons: N/A
Crowd Engagement:
They were quite into it.
Rating: 9.35/10
(8/11) The Usos VS Gallows and Anderson:
Usos won…
Pros and Cons (1-2):
Pros:
Cons:
- The Usos won when they shouldn’t have.
- Karl and Luke losing was a really bad decision
Crowd Engagement:
The fans were into it, majority with the club.
Rating: 7/10
(9/11) Big Cass VS D-Von:
Big Cass beat him in 1 minute.
Pros and Cons (0-2):
Pros: N/A
Cons:
- Not so exciting.
- Result diminished the credibility of the Dudleyz
Crowd Engagement:
Nice pop for the Dudleyz when on screen and as well as when Big Cass came out.
Rating: 4.75/10
(10/11) Kalisto VS Del Rio:
Del Rio defeated Kalisto.
Pros and Cons (3-0):
Pros:
- Did their job well once again.
- Rusev coming out made the feud slightly more interesting.
- Rusev looks like an unstoppable beast once again after viciously destroying Kalisto after the match
Cons: N/A
Crowd Engagement:
They were actually quite behind Del Rio which made me happy.
Rating: 8.9/10
(11/11) Women’s Championship Match Contract Signing:
Did what they did, then the segment ended with Natalya putting Charlotte in a sharpshooter after Stephanie slapped Ric.
Pros and Cons (2-1):
Pros:
Cons:
- The segment seemed like something extra was needed to make it special; like something was missing there.. it was not smooth.
Crowd Engagement:
Pretty active for this segment.
Rating: 8/10
RAW Overall rating: 8/10.
This RAW was better than the last one. I’d say a solid RAW for this week heading into Extreme Rules. Loved the new introduced match types and all the debuts. Usos should have lost though. Dislike Anderson and Gallows being booked this way.
