Plus, what will Tyson Fury have to say when he is live on Raw to address Braun Strowman? The new SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair comes to Raw tonight to team with “The Man” Becky Lynch but can the two champions defeat the new WWE Women’s Champions, The Kabuki Warriors? Lynch and Flair are also set to appear on Miz TV. The Viking Raiders have a chance tonight to make a claim to be the #1 Contender’s for the Raw Tag Team Champions but can the two defeat Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler in this non-title match? Finally, will it be Natalya or Lacey Evans who gets the decisive victory as the two face off in a Last Woman Standing Match?
Raw comes to us from the Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, California.
Raw kicks off with a recap of the Rusev and Lana situation from last week.
In Ring Segment: Rusev & Randy Orton & Baron Corbin
As Raw begins Randy Orton and Baron Corbin are attacking Rusev. Rusev fights back and is able to back them off. Bobby Lashley comes on the titantron and tells Rusev it doesn’t look like he’s having a good time and he isn’t as comfortable as he is. Lashley shows he is wearing Rusev’s robe and says he is at his house and in his room. Lashley takes off the robe and gets into the bed. Lashley then asks what they are missing here. He says something that you’re missing a lot. In comes Lana. Lana then takes off her robe and gets into bed. Lana tells Rusev everything they own is now in her name and they don’t have joint checking accounts it’s all hers. Lashley tells Rusev he should have spent his money on Lana instead of his family. She tells Rusev it doesn’t look like he is having fun but she is, Lashley says we are. Orton and Lashley stand on the outside and laugh at Rusev. Rusev goes to the outside and takes down Corbin before he goes after Orton. Corin tries to back him off but instead, he is sent into the steps. Orton is then sent into the barricade. Rusev continues the attack on Corbin and bounces him off the ring post. He then takes the steps and hits Orton, Corbin then suffers the same fate. Rusev grabs Orton and throws him off the ring post. Rusev finishes off Corbin with a Machka kick. He then hits one with Orton as well. Rusev then throws the steps on one side and does the same on the other before heading up the ramp.
My Opinion:
This was an interesting start to Raw, on the one hand, I’m glad Rusev is getting his edge back and I think with a mean streak back he will do big things. On the other hand, I don’t think it needs to be done this way. I get the want for being edgy but starting off Raw like this after a PPV last night just didn’t hit like it should have. Relationship stories are as old as time but for me, it seems lazy when you have someone as talented as Rusev. There so much he has to offer and I hope he gets the opportunity to showcase that in a different kind of light than this.
Match 1: Natalya vs Lacey Evans: Last Woman Standing
*** Before the match Evans says it appears we are at the end of the road and at the end of the road the trash is taken out for removal. She says after Natalya’s attack last night there is one place for this to go and that is a last lady standing match. She claims she will be the last one standing and that nasty Natalya will be taken out like the trash she is.
Natalya starts off strong to start the match and takes down Evans. Evans tries to fight back but is sent to the outside. Natalya meets her and hits her with a big strike before sending her into the barricade. Evans gets to her feet but is met with a big back body drop. Natalya stays on her and hits her with a huge slap. Evans is then taken down by a huge suplex. A kick from Natalya but Evans is able to trip her up. In the ring, Natalya takes her down. Natalya locks in the Sharpshooter and keeps the hold wrenched on. Another kick from Natalya and Evans is then driven into the mat. Evans hits her with a strike and is able to throw her down to the mat. Natalya is down but is able to get up at 9. Evans kick is caught and she is thrown to the mat. Another suplex and a big kick to follow from Natalya. Evans is able to grab her and brings her to the outside where Natalya is slugged into the barricade. The ref counts again and Natalya makes it to her feet. Evans then knocks her back down. Evans grabs a table from under the ring but shoves it back under. The ref begins the count again on Natalya and once more Natalya is to her feet. Evans grabs her and throws her into the steps as Raw goes to break.
As Raw returns, Evans throws Natalya into the time keeper’s area. Evans grabs a kendo stick and goes to work on Natalya. Evans sits in a chair from the area and watches the ref continue his count. Natalya is up at 9 but she is grabbed by Evans and driven into the ring post. The count begins. Natalya pulls herself up but is grabbed again and thrown into a chair Evans then uses a kendo stick to keep her in there before hitting her with a huge kick dropping her to the ground. Natalya is able to break free and the count is stopped as Evans grabs her. Evans hits her with the kendo stick more but here comes Natalya. The tables are turned and Natalya now unleashes with the kendo stick. Evans once again though counters and regains control. Natalya is to her feet but then bounced off the apron before being sent into the ring. Evans now uses two kendo sticks on Natalya. Back on the outside, Evans drops her to the ground with a neck breaker. Natalya stirs and gets up at 9 but immediately is hit with the trash can. Evans then pours the trash on her. Evans looks to fly off the barricade and takes down Natalya. Natalya is able to get to her feet again but Evans continues the assault with a suplex on the ramp. Natalya is then thrown off the video screens. Evans grabs her and throws her into the announcer’s table. Evans clears the table and waits for Natalya to get up. On the announcer’s table now Evans lands a huge suplex. The ref begins the count again and Natalya is in extreme pain. Natalya gets up again but Evans has no give and throws her into the screens once more. Natalya is up and is able to reverse Evans and land a big suplex. Natalya then powerbombs Evans off the stage! The ref reaches 10 and Natalya is the Last Woman Standing!
Winner: Natalya
My Opinion:
Natalya showed her veteran presence in this one by staying in it and never giving up. She picked her spot and was able to find that one moment where she took over. For Evans, she dominated most of this match and had many chances to put this away but she wasn’t patient and allowed it to slip away. Evans still has a long way to go but hopefully, she will get better with more feuds like this. For Natalya, she showed what she is made of and continues to be one of the clear iron horses of the Raw Women’s Division.

Match 2: The Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar) vs Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler: Non-Title Match
Ziggler starts the match with Erik. Ziggler takes him down but Erik gets right back into it and backs him into the ropes. Ziggler tries another takedown but can’t lock one. Erik stays on him and holds him with a body lock on the mat. Ziggler lands a cheap shot and follows with another. Ziggler now goes to a body lock but Erij fights out and is able to slam Ziggler as the two were at a vertical base. Ivar tags in and he is picked up by Erik and slammed on Ziggler. Ziggler goes to the outside to regroup. Roode now tags in and tries to take down Ivar but he is shrugged off. Roode stays with it and takes Ivar down to a knee. Ivar goes for the cover and gets the 1 2 3.
Winners: The Viking Raiders
Opinion:
A huge victory for The Viking Raiders tonight! This is one they needed and wow did they look good, early on they dominated this and then when the come back happened they stayed poised and picked their spot. They showed again why they are one of the best tag teams going today and it looks like they are on their way to big things. Ziggler and Roode just couldn’t figure out how to beat them and therefore it seems very likely The Viking Raiders will get the tag titles. I really hope they do because there are some good feuds waiting for them especially if we get to see them face AOP when they return!
Aleister Black:
Black says he has seen how this plays out and he is going to head down to the ring right now and see who wants to pick a fight with him.
In-Ring Segment: The Singh Brothers
The Singh Brothers say a WWE showcase seemed like a perfect place for 205 Live’s best tag team to come back to Raw. They say they are going to show why they should be the top pick for Raw and SmackDown and then tell Aleister Black they want to pick a fight with him.
Match 3: Aleister Black vs The Singh Brothers
Black lands a huge kick to Samir and then takes down Sunil and hits him with a huge knee. Samir hits him from behind but he is met with Black Mass. Sunil tries to hit Black but he is wrapped up and taps out.
Winner: Aleister Black
My Opinion:
Good to see Aleister back and tonight he showed just how dominant he can be. He is someone who can change the game and he needs to be in the mix. With the draft coming up this is a perfect time to work him back in because this is a guy you can build around. Black is so good in the ring and his character is awesome. The way he wrestles and the way he talks on the mic shows just why Black could be and should be a future champion. This is a guy who can have a great match against anyone on any night and I can’t wait to see where he ends up and what he does next!
Backstage Segment: Braun Strowman

Winners: The O.C. (AJ Styles & Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson)
My Opinion:
This wasn’t the easiest of victories but there is no doubt The O.C. has made there point. Obviously last night did not sit well and they came here to show exactly what they are capable of. The O.C. hasn’t been as dominant as of late but what they did tonight puts them on track to get back to where they were. This is a trio that can take over and they showed they are here to lay people out. It’ll be interesting to see if all three will stay together at the draft but right now they are one destructive faction!

The two laugh with each other as they talk in Japenese. Lynch tells Asuka she has been waiting for her so how about we do this right here, right now. Asuka and Kari charge the ring and the two teams go at it. A ref comes out to break it up. Charlotte and Lynch drop the tag champs to the floor as Raw goes to break.

Sane goes for the cover and gets the 1 2 3.
*** After the match The Kabuki Warriors double team Charlotte. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross come out and take out the tag champs.
Winners: The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kari Sane)
My Opinion:
First off, I loved the back and forth from Lynch and Flair on Miz TV. the two are always trying to one-up each other and their competitive rivalry is fun to watch. But, this match didn’t go their way. The two were clicking but this new edge to The Kabuki Warriors is something to watch. Honestly, I love the way they are doing business now. This team needed something fresh and this mean streak is perfect. Bliss and Cross coming out to make the save was awesome as well, we finally have some competitiveness to these tag titles and they needed it. Now we have two teams fighting and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
Backstage Segment: Apollo Crews
Charly asks Crews what he is hoping to prove in his match against Ricochet. He says they go way back and it’s an honor to be in the ring with someone he admires and respects. He tells how he has been staying motivated and ready and tonight it’s nothing personal, this is his showcase.

Ricochet goes up top and flies but can’t hit Crews lands an enziguri and he lands a standing moonsault. He goes for the cover but this time Ricochet kicks out. Crews lifts him but Ricochet fights off. Ricochet drops Crews and goes for the cover, 1 2 3.
Winner: Ricochet
My Opinion:
This match was quick but wow these two put on. I mean in the small time they had they went out and hit counters and big moves and really took each other to the limit. That is a test of two great superstars to make something out of nothing. Ricochet to me knows how to get it done just a little more than Crews and that showed tonight. Both of these guys looked to prove something and I believe they did. For Crews, we don’t know where his future will go because he has never been used for things long term but Ricochet is a guy who the company can lean on. Ricochet has a lot of name value in the wrestling community and I can’t wait to see him get his big shot!
*** We then get a recap of the Universal Championship Match from last night
Backstage Segment: Tyson Fury
Tyson Fury heads to the ring to demand an apology from Braun Strowman!
In-Ring Segment: Tyson Fury & Braun Strowman
Security surrounds the ring as Jerry “The King’ Lawler stands in wait. King welcomes Tyson Fury to the ring! King welcomes him and tells him we wanted to get his opinion on what happened with Braun Strowman last week. He says he was minding his own business and Braun made him look like a fool and got him kicked out so he is here to demand an apology. Out comes Braun Strowman.
Braun tells him he was messing around trying to have fun until he looked at him like he wanted a piece of this and that’s why he gave him a little present in Dolph Ziggler. He says was telling the security to let him go. He says if he gets in his ring he would literally eat him for lunch. Fury tells him it’s a good thing the security did a good job because he would get in this ring and knock him out. Braun says he would be staring at the lights and not for a slow ass ten count like the last time he fought Wilder. Tyson says he is World Champion and ask Braun how many world titles he has won. Braun lifts him and drives him into the corner. Security comes in to break it up. Fury comes back at him but Braun is forced to the outside. Fury then knocks down all the security that was holding them back. Braun does the same. The two lock up in the ring but out comes the locker room to break it up. Braun breaks free and goes back after Fury. the two can’t really get to each other and are again broken up.Fury tells Braun let’s fight. Braun breaks free and goes after Fury. Braun again is pushed out of the ring and heads up the ramp.
My Opinion:
That was an awesome way to end the night, we haven’t had a confrontation like that in some time and wow is it super cool to have Tyson Fury in a WWE ring! I can’t imagine what kind of a fight this would be if we do get this match but wow these two looked ready to tear each other apart. This is a developing story and I can’t wait to see it unfold, it’s going to be big-time!!!
Backstage Segment: Braun Strowman
Charly asks Braun how his opinion has changed of Tyson Fury now that he has shared a ring with him. Braun says he is a tough son of a bitch but he is going to get these hands. Charly asks if Fury will get an apology. Braun says of course not, not when he comes in his house and disrespects him. He says he doesn’t play that crap. Fury taunts him and Braun comes back down to the ring. The two try to go at it as Raw goes off the air.
Final Thoughts:
This was a good Raw tonight with some solid matches and a lot of good character development. The opening didn’t hit as well as it could have, I think Rusev is much better than a storyline like this but I hope he keeps his mean streak and it leads to good results for him. Speaking of mean streaks I love what The Kabuki Warriors have become, I think Asuka using the mist and the way they are coming right at their opponents is perfect. Plus, with Bliss and Cross coming after them you are starting to see how much those tag titles mean and that division needed that. I was really impressed tonight with The Viking Raiders, they picked up a huge win and next week I hope they win the tag titles because those guys can run that division! On the same note, I was so happy to see Aleister Black back. This is a guy who can change the game and tonight he showed just how dominant he can be. Also, we saw a quick but great match between Ricochet and Apollo Crews who both showcased their talent and I can’t wait to see where they end up in the draft! It was also good to see The O.C. back in the win column, these guys can take over the WWE and I really want to see them continue to have success. We did see a lot of backstage segments tonight but I thought they were meaningful ones for the most part and worked well. Finally, what a way to end the night! Fury and Strowman were ready to tear each other apart and I can’t wait for this match to happen, it’s going to be huge!!! Overall it was a good night and I can;t wait for Friday and for the Draft to start!!!!
Overall Rating: 6/10
