As Survivor Series gets closer we look to see if the Raw title holders can hold onto their belts before their Champions versus Champions match. Lastly, Kurt Angle has announced that Braun Strowman will be on his Raw Men’s Survivor Series team but who will the GM pick next to stand by his side and defend Raw?
Raw takes place tonight at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England.

In Ring Segment: Miz TV w/ Kurt Angle
Miz welcomes everyone to Miz TV. He states he has a message for Baron Corbin. He tells how he told Corbin to not talk about his wife again and tells how Corbin went on to talk about her again and his unborn daughter. He says he is the whole show of Raw and Corbin better bring his A game. He says he is gonna make Corbin and his title relevant. He then introduces his guest Kurt Angle. Out comes Angle.

Miz says he remembers Angle abusing his power and teaming with The Shield. He then shows video footage from last week of Stephanie McMahon saying she will find a new GM if she has to. Kurt says this is Monday Night Raw and says they have the best talent, show, and fans. Kurt tells that SmackDown will always be known as the B show and they will prove that at Survivor Series. Miz then shows footage of SmackDown’s siege. He then shows how Angle retaliated with Daniel Bryan being choked slammed by Kane. Angle steps to Miz and tells him to put his hand down. Miz asks Kurt if he had nothing to do with last week’s attack then why did he award Strowman with being on Team Raw. Angle says he deserved to be on it and he had to promise him one thing. Miz asks what and Angle tells him he has a match with Strowman tonight.
My Opinion:
One thing I loved was how well spoken Miz was. He is excellent with these promos segments and I love it. Angle isn’t always the best and sounds repetitive at times, but Miz saved that. I think Miz feuding with Angle is awesome because it really helps Angle out. He hasn’t been the best talker since returning, but Miz knows how to get that reaction and create that real heat between the two. I think one thing I’m realizing as time goes on is Miz really is a top guy. I think they should definitely put Miz in more of a spotlight because he can run with whatever they give him.
Match 1: Jason Jordan vs Elias:
Guitar on a Pole Match
Elias tries to grab the guitar right away, but Jordan stops him. Elias fights him off, but Jordan is right back on him. Jordan hits a dropkick and the two go to the outside. Back in the ring the two stare each other down as Raw goes to break.

Jordan stops him and buries him in the corner. He does it two more times and hits a belly to belly. Jordan grabs the guitar and hits Elias over the back with it sending him out of the ring and winning the match.
Winner: Jason Jordan
My Opinion:
I really like these gimmick matches every so often. This wasn’t a bad one but at times it felt a little underprepared. I really like the rivalry these two have but for them, I think one on one is the best. When they can go at it and just have a good wrestling match they are at their best. One thing I noticed throughout the match is Jordan was working a little too quick and he needs to be careful of that. With a guy like Jordan who is all about the power he needs to slow it down some and not go without thinking, it could become dangerous for his opponents as seen with Elias who came very close to landing on his neck at times. Overall though this wasn’t bad it wasn’t the right timing for it, I think with a match like this you have to let it play out and not have a commercial during because the match never picked up with the break in between and was just to all over the place.
Backstage Segment:
Cesaro and Sheamus tell Kurt they don’t think he’s putting his best foot forward at Survivor series. Sheamus questions Kurt for having favoritism. *** Alicia Fox announces that Asuka will be apart of Team Raw.
Winner: Asuka
My Opinion:
Another win for Asuka, but she has a lot more to prove. Survivor Series will be a good start. I’m excited to see how she performs with the WWE talent and where she will go after that.
Backstage Segment:
Charly shows Titus the footage of Samoa Joe’s and Apollo Crews match last week. Charly then asks what made Titus ask for a match with Joe tonight. Titus says they’re about having fun, but last week wasn’t fun. He says tonight he has his eyes set on Samoa Joe and says Joe is in trouble.

*** Balor and Joe battle after the match. Security comes out and breaks the two up. Angle announces that both men will be on the Raw Men’s Team for Survivor Series. Balor then launches himself off the stage onto Joe.
Winner: No Contest
My Opinion:
Awesome match between the two. I loved the back and forth but mostly I loved the fight that Balor showed. That’s the intensity he needs to get him back in a top position. I love both of these guys being announced as Team Raw. They define the fight that Raw has.

*** Alicia announces that Sasha will be on Team Raw.
Winners: Sasha Banks & Bayley
My Opinion:
Not a bad match tonight. I think Sasha really shined and showed what she can do.
As for Nia, I noticed her offense wasn’t very diverse. Jax only stuck to few moves and although that’s fine, I think she needed to add more to it because it made the match drag on at times. Alicia announces she wants The Boss on the team but didn’t ask Bayley. Overall, it’s not bad choice but a great choice for Team Raw. It also created an interesting moment between Bayley and Sasha.

Kane sits up but is sent over the top rope. Miz and the Miztourage attack Strowman from behind but Strowman fights back and lays waste to everyone.
Winner: Braun Strowman via DQ
My Opinion:
I love the dominance of Strowman. I think it’s smart to have him overpower Kane at least for now because it really shows the power he has and shows he is the monster right now. It’ll be interesting to see how they use Strowman at Survivor Series and see if he is the one to lead the team.

Kalisto grabs a chair and sits down outside of the ring. Out comes Pete Dunne. Kurt Angle comes out first and says tonight we are gonna have the Cruiserweight versus the Bruiserweight.
My Opinion:
Enzo needs to find new material. His whole promo segments are getting very old and it’s like he’s trying to get pushed out of the company. I love him facing Pete Dunne though, finally, he’s getting some real tough competition and get put in his place.
Match 6: Pete Dunne vs Enzo Amore

Winner: Pete Dunne
My Opinion:
Impressive showing for Dunne. I think Dunne is amazing and tonight he showed only a taste of what he can do. One thing I love is how vicious his strikes are. When he comes to the main roster he deserves to be right in the mix with the top guys. The kid can go and it wouldn’t be a bad idea to keep using him like this periodically until they’re ready for him full-time.
Backstage Segment:

Sheamus comes and hits Rollins with a Brogue kick and we now have new tag team champions.
Winners: Sheamus & Cesaro:
New Raw Tag Team Champions
My Opinion:
This match was awesome and I don’t think it needed to be ruined like that. I’m disappointed that Raw ended like that I mean these two teams can go and yet we get a finish like that. I don’t like the decision to switch titleholders this close to Survivor Series either. I think it’s really dumb how they’ve been so you focused on title defenses all of a sudden.
Final Thoughts:
I wasn’t too happy with this Raw. I think they had high spots but a lot of low spots. It just didn’t feel very well put together. Almost like they were laid back because it wasn’t live. To me, it didn’t click. I wasn’t a fan of the ending and most of the show was just mediocre. One thing I loved was seeing Pete Dunne. I think Dunne is amazing and will make a huge impact when he is full time on the roster. One thing I don’t like though is how confusing they’ve made all this Survivor Series stuff with all the changes and additions. I hope next week we get some good closure and it leads strong into Survivor Series.
Overall Rating: 6.5 /10
