Hello Misfits! This is The Wrestling Classic here with my predictions for my TLC. Its the one night of the year where we are guaranteed matches involving tables, ladders and chairs. This is the final major event of 2018 which has been a year of events that were better than my expectations. TLC is an event hosted by both Raw and Smackdown. Lets get to my predictions.

Mixed Match Challenge Finals
Jinder Mahal & Alicia Fox w/ The Singh Brothers vs. R-Truth & Carmella
It’s the finals of the second ever mixed match challenge tournament. The final two teams are ones I dont think many people thought would make it this far but I think that it is very cool that they made it very unpredictable. On one side you have Jinder Mahal and Alica Fox who have had a rocky relationship that has been “shanti” at all. Mella and Truth have worked cohesively as a unit and even introduced the WWE Universe to “Truth TV” and Dance Breaks. The winners of this match will be rewarded the 30th spot in their respective Royal Rumbles. I’m okay with either team winning but I think the successful partnership of Carmella and R-Truth take the W against the tandem of Mahal and Fox who have had a rocky road to get here. Prediction -R-Truth & Carmella
Guitar Ladder Match
Elias vs. Bobby Lashley w/ Lio Rush
There were many other matches on this card that would have made great ladder matches. Rollins verses Ambrose, Bryan versus Styles or the Smackdown Tag Team Title matches are three other matches on this card that could have been elevated if it was booked as a ladder match. Instead we’re getting Elias facing off against Bobby Lashley in a ladder match where a guitar is hung above the ring. The first person to reach the guitar can use it as a weapon. Therefore, you can win the match without ever obtaining the guitar or not even using once its been pulled down. I feel like the WWE has plans for Lashley while they believe Elias will remain over through win or loss due to his gimmick. Therefore, I think Lashley picks up the victory but Elias will get the last laugh with a guitar shot. Prediction -Bobby Lashley
Cruiserweight Championship
Buddy Murphy (C) vs. Cedric Alexander
The cruiserweight championship will be one the line this Sunday when Buddy Murphy defends it against former champion Cedric Alexander. I believe these guys will give us the best match on the card regardless how much time they are given. I’m only stating that because the cruiserweights have proved that in the past. I strongly believe that Buddy Murphy has a lot more he wants to prove and he will remain the champion heading into 2019. Prediction -Buddy Murphy
Smackdown Tag Team Championship
The Bar (C) vs. The Usos vs. The New Day
It’s three of the most decorated and successful tag teams of the modern era and of Smackdown Live facing off for the tag team championships. Its great to see The Usos back in the championship picture and The New Day remains to be a force in the division. The Bar has finally won the Smackdown Tag Titles after being drafted to Smackdown after Wrestlemania and I’m not ready to see them drop them just yet, especially to two teams who have already cemented their legacies a part of the Smackdown tag division. I think this will be a really good match and might even be a great match to kick off the show. In the end, I want to see The Bar walk out still the champs. Prediction – The Bar
Tables Match
Natalya vs. Ruby Riott
For weeks Ruby Riott has been playing mind games with the Queen of Harts at the expense of her late father, Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart who passed away this past Summer. Natalya wants nothing more but to destroy Ruby Riott and make her pay. At TLC, they’ll finally be facing off but it won’t be a normal match. These two women will be facing off in a tables match. As much as I enjoy the Riott Squad and wish the girls picked up more big victorious, with the narrative of this storyline, it doesn’t make sense for Natalya not to get her retribution by sending Ruby crashing through a table. Prediction -Natalya
Finn Balor vs. Drew McIntyre
These two both have a lot to prove and with a top spot becoming available on Raw, both men are on a mission to take it. These two have the opportunity to tell us a great story and give us a match that nobody was expecting to see. We also havent really seen these two work against each other a ton to the point where it doesn’t feel fresh. As much as I would love Finn Balor pick up the victory here, I feel like McIntyre is “the chosen one” once again. This big singles win for McIntyre is the beginning of his ascension to the top. Prediction – Drew McIntyre
Raw Women’s Championship
Ronda Rousey (C) vs. Nia Jax
The last time these two women met, Nia Jax was the champion and Ronda Rousey was the challenger. This time around the tides have changed and its the other way around. Nia Jax has also found a brand new level of confidence after breaking Becky Lynch’s face with only one punch. Ronda Rousey had her toughest challenge yet in Charlotte Flair at Survivor Series but still remains unstoppable and undefeated. I think they’ll tell us a solid story in which Ronda must overcome the monster but in the end she’ll have Jax tapping out. I don’t see Ronda losing the championship yet and most likely not until Wrestlemania. Prediction – Ronda Rousey
Table, Ladders & Chairs
Braun Strowman vs. Baron Corbin
Its going to be interesting to see a TLC match between two big men and I’m curious to see how they get creative with the stipulation being 7-feet tall monsters. There are a lot of other implications for this match other than the stipulation. If Baron Corbin wins, he will become the permanent Raw GM. If Strowman wins the match, he will receive a Universal Championship match against Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble and Corbin will be forced to relinquish all authoritative duties. I dont see Strowman losing this match unless Corbin has hired some guns to help him with winning the match. Plus, Strowman has lost quite a bit of momentum since trying to cash in his Money in the Bank contract back in August. This victory will put him back where he belongs and maybe we’ll have Strowman overcome “The Beast” Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble. I’m sure Corbin will weasel himself back into a prominent authority role. Prediction -Braun Strowman
Intercontinental Championship
Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose
Rollins and Ambrose are back to being opponents rather than friends and I couldn’t be happier. This time around however, Ambrose is villain and Rollins is the hero. The fact that this match has no stipulation makes me believe it might end with a dusty finish. The Intercontinental Championship has played no role in this feud and Ambrose hasn’t even mentioned it once from my recollection since turning on Seth Rollins. I was hoping that at some point leading to this match, Ambrose would have cost Rollins a match in which the championship was on the line so the guys in the mid-card could fight for it but that never happened. I definitely dont think a feud between these two guys need it and I would hate to see the championship bounce back and fourth between these two. Now with that in mind, I think Rollins retains somehow and this leads to Ambrose eventually costing him the title before a rematch. Prediction – Team Raw
Chairs Match
Randy Orton vs. Rey Mysterio
Randy Orton has been catching Rey Mysterio off guard with a RKO at every chance he can and has made it his own personal business to make Mysterio’s WWE return a living hell. Rey Mysterio wants to make it clear that he fears no man, especially not a man he’s faced off against multiple times in the past in Randy Orton. These two veterans know each other very will and have all the experience in the world but neither man has ever wrestled in a chairs match. What exactly is a chairs match? Only the most dangerous and destructive match in professional wrestling history. As much as I feel like Randy Orton’s vicious streak will continue during this match, I feel like Mysterio will play the role he’s familiar as the underdog who finds a way to win, only to anger the Viper even more continuing their feud. Prediction -Rey Mysterio
Tables, Ladders & Chairs
Smackdown Women’s Championship
Becky Lynch (C) vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka
This is the match I’m looking forward to the most. Becky Lynch is white hot and must see. Charlotte Flair is back to her old ways and will do anything to win. This was originally teased as being another match between Flair and Lynch but the addition of Asuka makes this match feel fresh and adds a new element to the match. The biggest thing to remember about this match is that Becky Lynch could lose this match and championship without being pinned or submitted. This means either one of the other girls could win without technically beating the champion. That being said, I actually think this is the opportunity to put the championship on Asuka with Becky Lynch not actually losing. Early rumours say we might be getting Asuka/Charlotte two this Wrestlemania in a rematch from their epic bout this past Wrestlemania. Also, I feel like we’re all anticipating a Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey since it was stolen from us for Survivor Series. Imagine, Becky Lynch redeems herself by winning the Women’s Royal Rumble to challenge Ronda Rousey at Wrestlemania? Mhmm…that sounds epic for THE MAN. Prediction – Asuka
WWE Championship
Daniel Bryan (C) vs. AJ Styles
AJ Styles finally gets his rematch against Daniel Bryan after losing the WWE Champiomship to him before Survivor Series. AJ Styles has beaten Bryan previously but this a “NEW” Daniel Bryan who will do whatever it takes to win. Its a more dangerous and relentless Daniel Bryan who had a smile on his face after giving Lesnar a run for his money at Survivor Series. Whether its like undeniable skill or a low-blow, this Daniel Bryan is dangerous. Although, we cannot discredit AJ Styles ability or resilience as he was the WWE Champion for 371 days overcoming a countless amounts of odds. Its hard for me to imagine what either guy is going to do following this feud but I’m okay with either guy going over. My gut says Daniel Bryan retains and continues his attack on the fickle minded. Prediction – Daniel Bryan
