NJPW Best of Super Juniors Day 10 Review
Interesting batch of match-ups tournament wise with a banger of a main event. Let’s get into it!
Ricochet vs TAKA Michinoku
This was a clash of Old School vs New School which has been something we have seen a bit of in this tournament. Ricochet and TAKA really clicked and it made for a good match. I was excited when it started because I knew it could be good and so glad it ended up being what I expected. Since TAKA is eliminated it made no sense for him to win and gladly he didn’t as Ricochet continues his run to the top.
Match Rating: ***3/4
Jushin “Thunder” Liger vs Dragon Lee
This match followed the same formulas as the last and i’d say it was about the same if not better than the last one. Liger was at the top of his game here and Dragon Lee was being Dragon Lee so I thoroughly enjoyed this as well. Liger is also out so Dragon Lee takes the win getting him back into first place with Will Ospreay.
Match Rating: ***3/4
Will Ospreay vs Taichi
I’m still not even 100% sure how I feel about this match. Let me start off by saying I don’t like either of these guys really. They tried playing the story like they did with KUSHIDA and Kanemaru where Ospreay is the face that needs to overcome Suzuki-GUN except he didn’t even win. So the whole story buildup made no sense. There were some good near falls in kit though. Taichi picks up the win and I couldn’t be more upset.

Marty Scurll vs Hiromu Takahashi
Now these two do have history as they they had a match earlier this year in RPW which was pretty good. They did the same here and tore the house down. They did some early antics because why not? Then they got down to the nitty gritty and it was fire from then on. Marty showed why he belongs in NJPW and Takahashi shows why he is one of the best Super Jr.’s in the world today. Defintley give this a watch, you won’t be dissapointed.
Match Rating: ****
Really good day of the tournament here. Nothing really bad here and the matches are pretty short so you can’t go wrong by giving them a watch.
